I'm looking at the supercon page right now to make sure the **** that almost happened last year doesn't happen this year.

Also, $500 bonus to Melee is like saying "here's an extra $300 m2k!"

The $200 bonuses should go to doubles, or at least be $100 goes to low-tier player, and $100 goes to mid-tier player.

I'll try to answer this.

1. Hungryb0x was looking at this tourney before the bonus was announced. I'm sure there's more that haven't posted in the thread, because they're trying to keep the event quiet or something. Quite honestly, Melee needs more exposure, I'll be the first to admit that. I'll definitely be working on that.

2. Right. 20 dollars for venue, 10 dollars for singles, and 10 dollars per person for doubles (so, $20 per team).

3. Hopefully there won't be any bull**** happening. I mean, even if only a few OoSers show up to this, it's still enough of a high-profile event that people will be looking for the TOs to keep their word on pot bonuses. It's supposed to be 100% guaranteed unless something changes. You can really only go off of that :/

It was a joke. Some people don't like how you seed things (just what I hear). I think you do a fine job, but you might be a little bias when you are also playing in the tourney :o)

I don't think anyone would have said anything outside of players in Pac NW and CA, and when I was down in Cali I made sure all the players were good with their spots.

Also, I don't enter tournaments that I enter anymore, before I'd just forfeit my matches because I couldn't focus on both jobs.
But I take my TO'ing responsibilities really seriously, I want the best for my players. Yah, so any seeding complaints I will make sure to try to make everyone happy, but chances are there will be a few people who will be bracket screwed no matter what, TO's just try to make it as tolerable as possible X^D

Sawwy, but I'm way too terrible to attend a tourney right now, especially one where I have to shell $30 (more?) out, with no real hope of getting any of it back. I'm waiting for a fest to unsuck myself.
