I suppose Lucas is good for characters such as those, but there are ... better characters. Its not everyday someone says a low tier is more viable than a higher tiered character they've been well known to use in the past.

all though.. Wario can have his share of problems with characters like d3 and falco

I'm surprised by how high Lucas is in rankings. His posistion on the tier list would say otherwise.

Also, wasn't Lucas at the bottom just like a month ago? I could have sworn he barely even had 4 points. How did he get so high so fast?

Because nobody in the Lucas board posted their results in this thread, including myself, i thought that some of my results wouldn't count because they were from small tournaments

I don't know anybody else who plays Lucas who gathers tourney results other than the Reflex Wonder.

Wrong
players like Okin, Galeon, APC, Irsic and some others have given a lot of point to Lucas, since last year, Reflex results are new, i didn't even know he uses Lucas. (Props to Reflex <3)
Lucas boards have improved a lot, and really fast, posting tournament results here is just an example of the improvement.
Really, if you are surprised about Lucas rise, wait for the next update

Forgive me, I did not keep up-to-date with Lucas' results, and the only results I've seen/recall where Reflex's results in which he had to have Lucas share the spotlight with a couple of other characters.

But I do suppose if he says there are other people besides him, and of course you, then that's cool. It's just I didn't see anybody consistently posting results for Lucas, so it was just like a "ah hey look at this!

...Okay that's done with, let's move on now huh? What do other people have."

Lol we wreck Dedede and I think we have the advantage overall on Falco. I'm more worried about Marth at this point, and even then the matchup is closer than most people think.

I am however surprised at this recent surge in people being interested in using Wario more and more now. Now we just need those Wario's to go wreck Snake and steal his points lol.

No; when people are ridiculously boring and run away for eight minutes, all Wario needs to do is get the percent lead and that's it...at least, it forces Dedede to approach, which puts Wario at a pretty nice advantage.

Dedede can also get a percent lead and just run away and camp too; that works both ways. I actually took a game off one of the better Wario's around here by doing just that and letting the game go to time at a tourney last week. Dedede actually has better tools to get that lead, Wario is just better at keeping the lead, if he can get it.

It doesn't matter what character (MK excluded) we're talking about; if you have to approach then you're at a disadvantage, and Dedede at least has a projectile.

Dedede's projectile is nearly useless/irrelevant towards stopping Wario.

Brendan/May are the rivals for RSE/3rd generation. Wally is for 4th generation I think.

Who in Iowa plays as him? I remember playing Brown Paper Sack from Missouri, but I didn't see any Wario mains from Iowa at No Koast, unless I confused him occasionally for BPS.

theres a couple wario mains in iowa, but only 6 of us got to make it to no koast, so we decided to take our best 6, and then i was watching alot of matches of quick's wario and its the gayest wario i've ever seen lol, also a couple warios in minnesota, but i didn't notice anything too special about them.

but yeah, i guess u warios gotta do what u do since u basically get screwed out of nearly everybodies grab.

actually i saw DMG's wario at NO KOAST, and it was probably one of the best that i've seen, i didn't get to play any friendlies with him tho =/ i didn't really get too many friendlies at all at no koast tho, i was about to die cuz i was up for like 48+ hours strait before lol.

im actually picking up marth as my secondary for peach, since i hate playing Lolimar now that they have figured out how to play peach, also falco and snake are gay matchups too.

Uh, no offense, but by competing in the tournaments and posting on SWF, you are making the information public, whether you like it or not. Nobody has any right to tell someone else what they can and can't post. It's not like we're posting harmful personal attacks here, just where they placed in a tournament that they chose to go to.

Wario getting a percentage/stock lead ever is infinitely bad. My Falco once got wrecked because I suicided, and Falco trying to approach Wario (whodathunkit) is impossible ;_;.

D3 has an easier time getting a crap load of damage up on Wario once he gets a grab, it's still technically in many aspects a D3 advantage. Camping it out works though, if only D3 could shoot out gordos 80% of the time

I don't see many solutions for wario vs Marth, Marth having the good speed and aerial mobility (compared to MK) plus the grab release shenanigans screws Wario bad. Still doesn't make the match up easy, actually getting a hit is troublesome, but at least Wario struggles to hit you as well.

Yeah Falco does have a hard time approaching. If you are down a stock, it's near impossible since it's even harder trying to kill Wario when he's running around.

Dedede... Meh his projectiles stink. If you are close enough to hit him with it without him being able to jump/airdodge/shield in time, then he is probably close enough to where if you miss you will get really messed up.

Marth was and always will be not easy for Wario, I don't see it as worse than 6/4 though, and even vs someone like Roy R it's not uncommon for me to win a match or two by a huge margin or win a lot of them by a smaller margin.
