Thank God somebody deleted "that post", that was... disgusting.
Foreign images of the culture have no bearing on it. So if everyone else in the world thinks that we're most like Wario because they have an ignorant steriotypical image of us with no grounding in reality, that doesn't mean that we're really like Wario. It just means that a lot of people are ignorant.
Captain Falcon's personality isn't totally glowing in hindsight, but he is an accurate representation of American attitudes.
Wario, sure some things fit... but too many others do not. It's an ignorant stereotype with no basis in fact.
It's not really about stereotypes, it's about things that actually connect characters to a given culture.I'm not the being ignorant, this is what I've come to know from my personal experiences in the USA. Although I'm sure the USA has good people, this thread is based on stereotypes and this is what I've come to know. You're ignorant if you don't realize that the USA has a negative impression on the world.

No, it's still Captain Falcon, his negatives just got emphasized (look before you leap, gung-ho, self-righteous attitude), at least in American foreign policy. Sonic works though.Captain Falcon is America before Bush. Wario and Sonic are America after Bush.
