If the TO is smart they'll evenly split regions, it'd be dumb to have 3 FL people, 1 Ga and 2 NC in a pool, but it might happen x.x

I'ma get another death pool too probably, I'm looking forward to it though :D

The pools aren't a definite yet but he said since there were going to be so many people he would probably do them. I don't care what kind of pool I get, I'm making it out d@mm it.

313 - I have a teammate already.

I'll probably wind up in the same pool as like M2K, Seibrik, and Kismet or something.

And then emerge as the top seeded player, of course.

I just felt it was necessary to let you know, the whole female side of your family (that isnt older than your mom and younger then 17) could get it

but you could get it first because I already know you

that is all.

At UNCC, we're going to be setting up a Brawl/Melee tourney in May. Which Saturday (besides the 14th, that's G6 3) would be the most preferred to you guys?

let me explain

you guys have a small scene already so if you REALLY wanna maximize the attendence for BOTH BRAWL AND MELEE you should not have a tourney the week before or after said tourney.

now you are probably like "why is that TKO? more tourney= more opportunity?"

that is a bad way to look at maximizing attendence...more tourneys=more tourneys people are willing to skip because they will always have that "theres one next week" logic.

Snaps tourneys are Dominating as far as popularity goes pulling people from the likes of MD, WV, VA and GA. if you guys throw a brawl/melee tourney the week after you won't get nearly anything for the Melee side and imo seeing as most of you are probably still going to show up at G6 that will also effect the brawl side.

now 2 WEEKS after G6 would be okay but I would go so far as to say 3 weeks after G6 might be nice.

that way people can train up with weekend in smashfest and then by the time the tournament comes everyone feels good about themselves and wants to go and put in work instead of just going to the tourney "just cause".

thats just how I see it.

Yeah why can't they just do a Brawl only tourney. I mean the week after G6 is fine because that's only a Melee only which I doubt a lot of Brawl people will go to if any.

I've been reading your comments, and it looks like there are only three worthwhile options.

1. Host it on May 7th. (I haven't seen anybody object to this yet. Nothing is happening on this date, and we're already used to having tournaments that only have one week gaps between them.)

2. Host it sometime after Asheboro in June. If there's any NC interest in SiiS5 or Clash of the Titans 5, that might be a problem, though.

3. Drop Melee (We've honestly been considering this, since May and June combined already have two Melee tourneys in NC scheduled, while Brawl has none.) to essentially open up some dates, since there won't be Melee overlap this way.

I'd like to check out UNCC but beyond personal reasons like that I can't give you a good reason to host Melee unless you wanted to do it after Asheboro, and even then it might conflict with something like you said. Week before G6 sounds kinda cool though.....though there's a chance it could mess with college bros plans.

playing brawl makes you soooooooo good at other fighting games. the sheer amount of reads required per match in brawl to win a match, as well as the emphasis on defense, makes it so much easier to get those reads in other fighting games where you can kill people much easier (and thusly, a strong defense is even more useful) =D

Brawl made me play Melee slower and slow the game down and see more.

It also made me overthink all of my inputs and lose tech skill.

Worth it.
