Eh... the message is from Capcom's boards and doesn't say anything regarding Brawl at all. Hard to be fake when a message is that unclear, alot of this speculation is on assumptions anyway.

Megaman could be used, how much or how unique probably depends on WHICH verison they used of him if they decided to use him at all but much like any 3rd party character I'm not counting on that either.

What's fake? No one ever claimed that Megaman was announced.

Have you ever played a Megaman game? He has a large array of Robot Master abilities to choose from. Plus, he was a fighter in Marvel vs. Capcom, so he has plenty of moves.

He could even copy other abilities like Kirby, except blaster variants. He wpi;d be much mpre unique than Sonic.

Until more is revealed, it is pure speculation, yes..

But do each of you think my point is valid? Or do you think it's pointless to talk about such a random message on an official site? Have your say, I'd like to hear it.

The next Streetfighter game will blah blah blah blah.

They seem to be hyping it quite alot on thier forums, but who knows. Streetfighter is one of thier most popular franchises, and there hasn't been a new one in ages, I reckon it's next gen SF.. but I'd rather it was Megaman, I hope you're proved right and I'm proved wrong :p

I've joked about Leon being in Brawl recently.. but I don't think it would suit the game. I know Snake is in, but he had to be, really. :dizzy:

Besides, Megaman is Capcom's main mascot.. Sonic is confirmed, and he is Sega's main hedgehog. If any Capcom hero is in it, it would most likely be Megaman. And with his 20th anniversary looming.. who knows?

Isaac is a Golden Sun character, and the rights to Golden Sun belong to Camelot right now, not Nintendo or Capcom or anyone else..

If Isaac were to be in it, that would mean the GS franchise is being revitalised.. and I doubt that it would happen anytime soon.

If the message is indeed revealed on Capcom's site, I will be eager to see it.

Edit: I meant GS isn't.. not Camelot.

It could be anything, and since it could range from any game to brawl, the chances are quite slim...
Let's hope for a capcom character in brawl, I hope for :

hmmm thats very interesting. It does seem that he would be a bonus for capcom and be a great brawler. I would rather see Zero in it but hey, the blue bomber is better than neither.

I hope this is true though. I want the last third party out of the way so all the speculation can end and people can get back to speculating Nintendo fighters. Really, all these other third party threads for characters who are rather unlikely, are getting quite clostrphobic. Anyhow, if Megaman is in Brawl that fufills my wishes for third parties! :)

Interesting find. It may just be coincidence, but it was posted on the day that Nintendo revealed Sonic would be in, which is certainly a curious detail even if it means nothing.

The thing that I'm curious about is why they'd make such a count down for something as simple as another game sequel. Everyone can guess that most of their series are going to continue going - Mega Man, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, etc, no one expects them to just die at some random time. It'd be a bit disappointing if something like this was done for something so predictable, no? It really does make me wonder... if they're announcing another game sequel, it must be something really big. And if they're not, well, Mega Man in Brawl certainly seems more likely than anything else I can think of it.

Of course, they could also be throwing us a complete curve ball no one will see coming and be doing none of the above. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

1. This is not in Japanese of any sort because my computer can read japanese normally and its just a question marks
2. (Probably mentioned by now) Going to the 'Home Page' there is a count down that says 'Prepare yourself'
3. This could be ANYTHING, though it would be pretty awesome Megaman is announced

Some believe it may even be another Dark Stalkers game..
And or this announcement might be only for PS3.

Doesn't Activision own the Marvel License? I don't think it can be Marvel vs Capcom 3, although that would be awesome. It's either a Megaman confirmation or some sort of Street Fighter game.
