Well, it seems like it he would be the most likely 3rd party character. There have been a lot of Megaman Nintendo games. But one last thing. If it's Megaman, which one is it?(i.e. the original robot, Battle Network....?)

Man I would be truely dissapointed they included the .Exe version... Either Classic or X for me. IMO those are the best ones.

I'd really like it if they included the ORIGINAL Mega, but I'd still like it if they included X or .exe. Just not the newest ones.
Or, they could go for "Megaman Capcom", which is a blend of several Capcom heroes, such as Ryu (Up+B: Shoryuken / Dragon Punch), Morrigan (Down+B: Something similar to Ryu's D,DB,B,Kick move), Strider (Forward+B: Slash, similar to Zero, by the way) and of course the regular buster canon from Megaman, which is neutral B.
Then, as Final Smash, we could have some Shun Goku Satsu like move.

I can't help but notice a few problems in this, the first of which is the 4 you put in there. Why use a 4 in place of 'for' if the rest of the message is correct? Another one is the odd arrangement of the first sentence. It feels very off. Hold on, I'll try to figure out a better alternative...

samus and megaman would probably be the same weight and strenghth..and imo they seem the same...
Obviously they will have different movesets but if you're good with samus then i'll bet you anyhting you'll be good with megaman...
You're kidding. The two have exactly one similarity - both have blaster-style arm cannons. Thats it. They're otherwise utterly different. Mega Man is a child cyborg, Samus a woman bounty hunter with a powerful, physics-defying space suit. Mega Man assimilates and uses the abilities of opponents he vanquishes, Samus couldn't do anything like that if she tried. Samus has years of special training and Chozo blood, Mega Man has nothing of the sort.
Mega Man has plenty of potential abilities that are entirely different from Samus' - just play through some of his old games and you'll find enough moves for dozens of different move sets. Theres neither a reason for him to be a clone of Samus nor any real connection between the two besides a coincidental similarity in their primary weapons.

I see megaman more as a well balanced character a la mario, cause he aint fast nor slow, not strong nor weak, u get the idea, one more well balanced character is what smash needs, megaman fills that spot, plus has projectiles, so yay

It's a pet peeve of mine when I hear people Mega Man would be a Samus clone. Seriously have many people not played Mega Man games? He'd be a great addition to this game and the only other 3rd party character worthy.
Pardon, but what makes you think that? Like I said, Mega Man is a child cyborg, while Samus is a grown woman in a full-body space suit. Thats a rather significant physical different right there. I would expect Mega Man to be lighter and faster than Samus and hit with less power, not for the two to be the same.

meh, if mega man isn't in anyways, sakurai is obviously crazy.
Hmm, while it might not be Marvel vs Capcom 3 due to the licensing issues, I've heard rumors about a DC vs Marvel game (http://www.snk-capcom.com/news/archives/00000049.htm , CTRL+F for dc), and it'd easily be worth a countdown for.
Street Fighter IV would also be really huge as well.
Mega Man in Brawl? IMO, just as countdown-worthy as the previous 2 suggestions.

I think it's pretty much impossible to decode all the question marks. However, megaman being in brawl is probably a pretty good guess, seeing as it says "prepare yourself," the date is 10/10/07, and that's the same day that brawl is released.

Megaman and Sonic within a week of each other? Highly unlikely. Would be awesome though.
On the contrary, Snake was updated on the website two and a half weeks before Sonic. It looks like they might want to reveal all the third party characters near eachother. It's good to have each of the characters known a while before the game comes out for hype. Also, it helps to make up for Brawl's delay. Plus, with all the E for All stuff and such, it's an appropriate time to reveal big announcements.
