Icy and I suggested we use serious LMG classes and my first game on Scrapyard, I go 17-1-2. It reignited my love for them. I even got 3 gentleman in one killcam and it was sooo sexy.

 got some of those GWKs today on Terminal. :bee:

@ Icy: Sorry, feeling a bit down today. That's why I didn't laugh at your Hank Hill voices.
It's fine.

S&D with tubes/RPGs = flawless.

I never die when I use those in S&D, it's virtually impossible. I'm coming to realize there's no way to consistently do well in this game unless you resort to ridiculous tactics, which is why I don't always do well.

There's plenty of ways you can do consistently well. If my shot is on and my reaction time is flawless, I can pull another amazing score quickscoping. It's easy to do well consistently without resorting to ridiculous tactics, you just have to find ways.

I just got a standing, spinning ninja defuse while looking straight up. There were six people alive and I played it so well. Icy was there and I was nearly in tears.

My shot is always on after like an hour of playing, but it doesn't matter if people camp in windows or tube. It's just impossible to expect it sometimes, and with the amount of crap in this game it doesn't make it any easier. I do well most of the time but sometimes I get on terrible streaks.

I'd blame it on the fact that you play a different gametype. I'm exclusively Search; which means I can avoid things like that. Try playing an objective and it's a whole new ball game.

After reading a lot of your posts, I really can't fathom the amount of idiots you guys play with. Not discrediting your skills at all, but some of the **** you get away with is ridiculous. I've never been ninja defused period, and to have a standing spinning one... how do you let that happen?

The tryhard rushers are often the easiest to do this kind of stuff on. I've failed a good 30 times trying to do this before I finally got a standing defuse. It takes time to find a batch of people that will ignore the bomb and rush to a hiding spot. I wouldn't call them bad, just unaware. I'd blame it on lack of communication, because I always always always say "Check for the ninja" and it's never happened to me personally. How people let it happen, I don't know but hey, it works.

<We actually play against PS3 players if you're wondering why they're bad.

We've had lots of experience doing shenanigans. We Ninja Defuse all the time, Javelin on almost every map, trap teammates for laughs, and other silliness. That's why we have so much fun. Alex and I have such good times, and since there's no need to level up, all we do is play Search. Trained for every situation, prepared for anything. I only get frustrated when there's a UMP, try-hards, or fanboys.

I've kind of converted from domination to TDM for a few reasons.

Domination encourages me and others to camp because there's an objective to watch over, so I feel like my gameplay is boring. However, in MW2 it's only necessary to play conservatively to post really good scores in my opinion unless I'm uninformed. Search I'm good at because I know the maps so well, bit with domination so many things can happen.

I also like how TDM is short and to the point. I just want kills, to be honest, so an objective gametype is wrong for me as I won't go near it whatsoever. However, even though I like the fact that it's short, sometimes it makes me play too careful, as stupid as that sounds.

I've pretty much fully adapted to all the different gametypes, but there's certain things you need to pay more attention to depending on the gametype. There's so much that contributes to doing well. Killstreaks are the biggest thing to aim for when you're trying to do well, but getting them is a pain sometimes. :dizzy:

Edit: On the topic of ninja defuses, I was about 2 seconds from getting one and the guy just stood behind the bomb, laid down and the bomb showed up in his characters head so he turned around and shot me.

It's easy to get ninja'd if you don't look. The bomb makes a noise after it's been planted, so if you pick it up again quickly it's hard for even myself to hear it with turtle beaches because you get confused. I will admit, though, some people are insanely stupid.

i never check for ninja defuses, but anytime anyone has ever tried one on me I've been able to hear the brief case opening from when he defuses it so it's always worked out for me

There are a lot of tricks you can do if you can predict enemy locations... and usually randoms go to these "hotspots." Also... after embarassing them in that location... for some reason they return to the same location and attempt what they were doing AGAIN.

Also... a coordinated team can get away with a lot... unlike a group of randoms who most likely are just fighting with each other for the high score...

As much as I'd like to join, I'm stuck in a hospital AHHHHHH

Also, man, the RPD is underrated as hell. I got a multi kill just by randomly shooting bullets at a group of people that were passing by me yesterday. And I can afford to miss shots because of the large amount of ammo

YES!

Everyone loves the RPD, wouldn't exactly call it underrated. It's a great gun, one of the few useful ones.

I really don't. If you mean a ranking of how good guns are, then that's a split decision.

In my opinion, it goes FAMAS/TAR on the same level, everything else under it is even.

...

Shouldn't the Thumper go BELOW the AT4?

It's pretty **** good as a riot shield class contending with the RPG

And plus, we already have noob tubes for that.

No, the AT4 has one shot that only fires straight. Thumper has 2 that have an arc.

It does, but the arc allows you to do so much more.

Yeah, but again, don't the noob tubes sorta just take care of the Thumper allowing for both the AT4 and the grenade launcher to both be on the same classes?

Btw, so I have my RPD class and all right? What would be a good secondary? I'd like to say a Stinger, but that's just something I put on every class that doesn't revolve around a specific theme (ie. Riot Shield, Quick Scoping, etc.)

Not really. It's 2 extra tubes.

IMO, I'd put a Handgun or Raffica on it, to counterbalance the long reload (though that might not be necessary if you're going with SoH Pro). If you get caught on a reload you can yank it out and try and make a stand.

How's it going, Light House? I'm leaving Ireland tomorrow, and the trip takes a whole day so no playing then, but I should be free to play over the weekend. Can't wait to go back to shooting stuff. :bee:

LOL How the Javelin is first <3
And the Thump is pretty good, it has the fastest traveling speed out of any launcher, I believe.
