But anyway, it has nothing to do with it's single player. The fact that brawl will be online and it already has thousands of previous people who are obsessed with it from Melee will overall add up. Also, Brawl is getting overally hyped up for a reason. Heck, why do you think this forum even exists?

Does that star even count? Besides it's not like in Galaxy where I have to beat the game to get 15 more stars.

edit: ok, that star counted, but I could still get 119 before that. I didn't have to go back and get stars in stages.

Did the trial galaxies the other night. They were actually pretty easy. I really liked the surfing one. It was pretty keen.

Only 70 stars in. Still trying to take it slow...but the difficulty of this game is def. not that bad. Much easier than 64 and way easier than Sunshine.

In terms of reviews, Galaxy will surpass Brawl, certainly! Brawl might be reviewed at scores such as 8.2, 8.5, possibly 9.0, and don't be in awe at scores like 7.5. Brawl will definitely have mixed reactions because it is probably just so darn similar to Melee in concept. Don't flame me here because I said it is similar, I'm aware of thenumerous physics alterations and gamepaly mechainic additions.

In terms of sales, Brawl will own Galaxy by FAAAAAAAAAAR! Expect Brawl to be packages with Wiis later in the consoles life cycle (a la Melee) and it will gain sales there. Also, it will gain sales because it reaches out to a broader audience than Galaxy.

Plus, it all depends what characters make it to Brawl. They have to add those that appeal to people that might not be Nintendo fanatics. We might see Megaman, or even potentially Sora (this would be good marketing, I am not spporting it). Characters like Olimar need to be in (XD, I added my own two cents there)!

Galaxy will win. This isn't because it's a better game or has better replay value, but because the wii attracts so many casual gamers. Most of them will by galaxy, but only the more hardcore players will get brawl

I really don't see how trying to compare Brawl to Galaxy has ANYTHING to do with freakin talking about how many stars you got and who is the last boss.

Lets see, Galaxy lasted around 50 hours for me and would now be boring if I played it again. Melee lasted 286 hours, not counting the times I played at somebody elses home or when I played without memory card, and its still fun if I play it now. Brawl is better than Melee, and has a stage builder and online to really rack up the hours, not to mention a longer single player and waaay more collectables.

Yup. Brawl will be infinitely better than Mario Galaxy. Brawl just surpasses Mario Galaxy in EVERYTHING, even as a platformer. Not saying Mario Galaxy is bad, but Melee is infinitely better than any game I have, and its funny how Brawl seems to look infinitely better than Melee right now. Its just totally amazing. The best game ever IMO will get surpassed big-time.

I'm not sure if Brawl will get scores as high as Galaxy. (11/10?) But i'm sure that it'll be better overall.

Ive already gotten bored with Galaxy, its still fun but playing as Mario is only so fun after a while.

Brawl will OWN. It even has Mario platforming, Mario, Luigi (hopefully), Peach, and Ridley.

That's not the point (althogh Samus would be lonely). Brawl has WAY MORE than Galaxy, including REAL Mario vs Bowser fights (Galaxy's were SUPER easy and ridickulous).

to me, galaxy was like (this is quoted from someone else on these forums,cant remember who though) "super mario 64 in a circle instead of a box".also,super mario galaxy did not draw me in at all.but yah, since super smash bros. brawl is going to be the best game of all time,im sure its better than galaxy in all ways, shapes, and forms.i suppose it doesnt matter what the reviews are for it,just the fact that you know its amazing is enough for me.:chuckle:

Galaxy has nothing on Brawl. Think of it this way. Galaxy is a game you rent and beat in a week. And even if you are a freak what is the point of playing once you get all the stars. As for Brawl, if like Melee it will be th egame that keeps giving. Throw in online mode and this game comes out on top without a doubt in my mind.

im glad you added Mario Kart wii because it looks better than SM Galaxy! And of course SSBB is better! i don't think there isn't another game better!

I saw an article in GI concerning MK. It now has things like motorcycles and BMX bikes. From what I've seen Peach had 2 of them and this game also has 12-online racers. It's looking to be up in competition

im getting galaxy so when i play it i'll tell you if it is better than Mario kart but no game is better than brawl if not i wouldn't be here!
