When I see "MK", I think Mortal Kombat :p

And hopefully Mario Kart takes more after 64 than DD.
It is. All racers will be in their own kart, motorcycles, motorbikes, race cars, etc. alone. It's looking awesome, but not much has been revealed yet. I know the 12 player online will be awesome, but I wonder how people will snake now that it's being control with a Wii Wheel.

Galaxy is OVERRATED

Mainly because there is no border between extreamly easy and terribly difficult

Also, there seems to be no true incentive once you have all glaxies unlocked

Brawl>any other game>Galaxy
Who pissed in this guys corn flakes? Galaxy was a great game; though I do not agree with its ratings. Personally, I give it a 9.2-ish. If I was given the choice between Ratchet & Clank Vs. SMG, I'd pick Ratchet & Clank.

I think it's funny how they keep saying Mario Kart is going to come out in the second half of 2008...yeah right, folks. This game has holiday 2008 material written all over it.

And once again, does anybody have the Melty Molten music? Or do you know where I can find it?

Galaxy was a great game, especially when you compare it to the last comparable Mario game (Sunshine). I really enjoyed it and think it was worth the purchase. Haven't taken the time to get the last few stars but I am pretty close at least.

I think Brawl will top it though in sales, but I am not sure about reviews now. I think they will be pretty similar at least, I mean, just look at all Brawl has to offer. While it may be "similar" to the previous games in the Smash Bros series it adds so much more than Melee did.

Mario Kart Wii looks great. I have not really looked into that game much since I am concentrating on more current releases rather than the distant future (or games I am not getting until Christmas, SO CLOSE). I did look at it though and that is now another game I am waiting for. I almost feel better about what Nintendo is doing... almost.

They are certainly moving in the right direction with these games. You should try to look for MK Wii more though, it's looking up to my expectations, especially with the motorcycles. Trick move system and 12 online. Sounds pretty good to me.

i think galaxy is more overrated than any other game. the only reason it got a review score above a 7.6 was because of one, simple, f@#$ing thing, MaRIO. if it were the same game but with completly different characters, you would all hate it a say some crappy sony conspiracy

Not really Galaxy has created a whole different venue of platform gamming. No other platform game has even attempted what Galaxy has accomplished. But with that said............I still think Brawl is gonna top it.

Sakurai is really going all out on this one.

That explains why Mario Sunshine is the sixth best-reviewed game of all time.
-Spoiler warning-
It's not.

I don't even OWN a Wii (I have a 360) and I would gladly give game of the year to Mario Galaxy (would have been Brawl if it came out in December).

That's saying something, coming from guy who plays Halo, Gears of War, Guitar Hero, Need for Speed and the like.

Sort of reminds me of another game for Xbox, a certain FPS that did not live up to it's predecessor in both single and multiplayer, and still got 9.5/10.

While Galaxy may not be OMG FREAKING BEST GAME OF ALL TIME I would still give it about 8.5/10, personally. The only three problems I found were that it was a bit easy, too short, and there was ONE time where the controls were not working very smoothly. I am not counting the
sand tower thing where you are upside down and have to use the controls backwards. That was hard... and I didn't think it controlled well but it was probably just because of the difficulty, not necessarily the game.

I think Brawl will do better though, at least in my opinion it will be better. I already love the new white, large button menus, a great change over the bland menu from Melee and SSB64.

Got 3 stars to go...the 3 purple coin stars in the Garden.

So, let me get this straight...after getting 120, I have to play through the entire game as Luigi to unlock the galaxy that contains the 121st? Because if that's so, I have absolutely no problem playing through this game again, especially a different character.

And about all the high scores...yeah, it most def. deserves them. At the outset of the game, I was very skeptical that Galaxy would be better than Mario 64, but I've been thoroughly convinced. (the only complaint I have is that Galaxy is way easier, but that's not nec. a bad thing)

Ever hear of spoiler tags? I mean, I already was spoiled with that information, but there's definately people out there who don't want to hear about that.

Smash Bros will have the most value for me because it's a quick fight. I liked Galaxy and all, but it just got kinda stale and the same old same old. I am a sucker for competition. But in terms of scores and sales, I think Brawl can out do them all but it'll interesting to see if Galaxy's holiday advantage is just too much. As far as ratings go, I forsee a lot of nitpicking of the online.

But what about MK affect on the sales. That is competitive as well, if you want to talk of competition. You'll have 11 others for competition.

that one FPS that was the only one in the sieres i own but is played more and enjoyed more than any thing nintendo could offer.

but can you say what that is? then can you say it has never been done before?

Actually, I think Brawl might get some lame unfair scores. Melee got alot of eights, even though it was clearly superior to other games that got worse ratings. I think Brawl will suffer the same unfairness.

"Melee sucks once you've finished the one player mode."

What kind of argument is that? Melee isn't about the single player...its about the multiplayer! Trying out all kinds of wacky stuff, learning new techniques, discovering new strategies, getting better overall. Thats the way of Smash!

Well Brawl is trying to correct that argument. Which is why they are putting so much work into single player with Subspace. I doubt it'll receive unfair scores this time.

even though the reviewers commented that the only thing it being a Mario game did was boost popularity; not effect ratings?

never said it was inovative, i said it was better than any Nintendo game out there.
there is NOTHING new or inovated about galaxy, but you "claim" that there is. so what is it then?
Well let's see here:

-A whole new gravity feature that has never been successfully programmed into a 3-D game
-Graphics that can be compared to that of a 360's
-A much-needed updgrade to the declining Platformer genre
-Creative Controls
-A new twist on the "Princess gets Kidnapped" story
-Some major fan service

Now state why you think Halo 3 is a better game than anything Nintendo can offer. (AND I DO NOT MEAN COMPARE IT TO SUPER MARIO GALAXY, THEY ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAMES!)

lol if you think that Galaxy does nothing new then you're an idiot.

To be honest, I do think Brawl may get some unfair scores. Simply because this is one of the most hyped games of this gen. People are hyping it up so much that (once again, like always) they're bound to be disappointed. When you expect too much, you get let down. That's a fact of life. But in the end, we all know Brawl will surpass all other games out there and will last longer than the rest as well. If Melee can do it, so can Brawl.

I have Galaxy and it is great but is overrated... It still seems very childish which is a turnoff to a lot of people (I have been criticized for playing a quote 'childish' game). Also their is still no good coop mode. People did the coop with me and where dissappointed. My sister said they should just do a Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Mode where Luigi or another character just follows you on the screen. I beat the game too easy as well... why not require 80 or 90 stars to win and not 60 (only half of the total allowing you to skip many of the levels). MAJOR SPOILER, READ NEXT PARAGRAPH AT YOUR OWN RISK Only hard part about Galaxy was doing the scenes where I wasn't Mario on land (bubble, riding that ball, riding the stingray, the second galaxy created by feeding the Lumas outside the second area (I think it was called the observatory...don't have game on me to check.) Another major dissappointment was not being able to hold onto the Ice and Fire suits longer. They should have not been timed but based on other power-up styles. btw please tell me how to do spoiler tags

I also have Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games and that game is highly underrated... I am enjoying it better then I thought I would. Trying to break all the records and get higher in the rankings online is fun. However, Olympics is highly draining.... feels like you are really working out if you do it long stretches. I made a hilarious video of a friend trying to break 110 m hurdle record when he was exhausted.

Well let's see here:

-A whole new gravity feature that has never been successfully programmed into a 3-D game do some more reserch with you"gaming history book" if its even in there. itsbeen done several times succefully, jus not as the main point, they actually chose somethig to be the main point otherthan a mechanic.
-Graphics that can be compared to that of a 360's um no it can't actually, only if you count bad ones. SHINY doesn't =GOOD
-A much-needed updgrade to the declining Platformer genre if your going to say that than what was your purpose in posting this
-Creative Controls let me put something straight to you fanboys out there. wii not= creative controlls.
-A new twist on the "Princess gets Kidnapped" story its no longer "your princess is in another castle", but in another galaxy
-Some major fan service like....

Now state why you think Halo 3 is a better game than anything Nintendo can offer. (AND I DO NOT MEAN COMPARE IT TO SUPER MARIO GALAXY, THEY ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAMES!)
i would but i've been called of for getting to off topic before.

Galaxy is amazing, my favorite Mario game since 64 easily.

But SSBBB will be better because it has multiplayer, a stage builder, and IMMENSE replay value.

Where as Galaxy will get boring after a couple months.

So, imo, Brawl will win.

You forget that Mario Kart is also in the title, and trust me, it won't get boring after a couple of months.

I totally agree with you!

But the thing I am sure to love in Brawl is...the story.
Awesome cut-scenes,even without dialog(maybe Sonic and Snake's story will have some, you never know),plot twists(you never know what could happen in here) and the choice(choose which princess do you want to save). That's all I can say!
