Have you watched the match of him vs. Ivysuar on that stage? It was ridiculous. Although the Meta player might have sucked at DI. Can't remember and its late.

Playing melee and smash ultimate
Zelda, ROB, Meta Knight to an extent.
...

Zelda is a walking frame trap on this level.
Rob wop ***** people off the small sides.
MK... do I even need to reply to this?

I don't know if you've realized this or not yet, but WW has elements that everyone takes advantage of. The platform setup greatly helps vertical comboers. The small sides greatly helps horizontal comboers. Almost everyone can do something insane here... which makes it balanced.

Almost everyone could do something insane in smash 64 too, but it wasn't balanced. ROB WoP works on pretty much any non walk off stage.

But I've lost this arguement. I'm going to bed.

The only people that don't benefit really are ones that use long range tactics.
And actually it would make sense that ROB would do badly to me, as he has a hard time getting out of juggles, but at the same time, as leaf said, he has some advantages on the stage too.

EDIT: Actually, because everyone could do insane things, 64 WAS pretty balanced. Kirby and Pikachu were extra rapetastic but even Link and Samus had crazy combos.

if a stage can be argued about this much its probably not a neutral
like i said before just leave it as a cp unless for some reason we NEED to add another neutral to make it an odd number

http://www.mediafire.com/?zj2oddmz0yy for ZSS fix!
matches on fd between projectile campers are boring and often go 8 minutes. Because of this, they can slow down tournaments. make fd a cp to decrease the number of times the stage is played on, and tournaments can go by faster.

also, ww makes the game less about how you can pwn your opponent and more about how you minimize your opponent's pwnage of you. ww = neutral 4 lyfe

in other news, smash 64 is awesome.

I was wondering, if someone made a code for Spear Pillar that only prevented Palkia from appearing, would it be a more viable stage? Dialga doesn't flip or reverse the stage, and his lasers and top level-smashing will keep people from camping in the cave. Same with Cresselia and her Psycho Cuts.

Shanus once mentioned making Cress permanant(which I'd like to see tried actually) but that idea didn't sit well with others.

Dialga absolutely hates brawl hacks in general, due to the fact that grabbing someone while time is slowed down means insta-death. Cress however, could at least prevent circle camping. Bottom half of the stage still wouldn't be a good place to fight the cieling were there however.

No no. Even if everyone gets affected by it, it degenerates gameplay due to the glitches it causes. In both Bbrawl and brawl+, grabbing an opponent slowed down by time results in them snapping off towards the death boundary. Same happens when you grab the ledge. There's some other stuff too like jumping monstrously high and cancelling your moves before they even come out, allowing you to potentially fly with some characters.

My personal stance on this stage is barely competitive, as the changes made to it actually destroy the stage and no one currently has the means to make it viable anyway.

Actually I think those glitches aren't in affect when everyone is slowed down; at least it doesn't cause the glitches when you pick up a timer and it affects only you/everyone.

Sorry for the bump, but this thread got pushed back waaay too far back from where it should be.

Main post time.

Anybody put any thought into how separate transformations of Castle Siege would work on their own? I personally like the way the first part look, but I dislike the other two forms. If it would have to take up another stage's space then that should be fine. There are still plenty of terrible stages that disappear for this. 75m *cough*

Wow, I didnt expect this to be revived. Anyway, I think having Cress as a permanent Pokemon on Spear Pillar would be good, but doesnt her Psycho Cuts have extreme KB? (Iirc at least) If her attack pattern and KB could be controled, then yeah, but I'd rather have a broken up 'mon-less Spear Pillar than a normal one with Cresselia only.
...or both actually.

whats the plan for showing what stages are legal and what arent. we gonna tint the pictures of the stages green red and yellow?
or maybe we can put a little (connection level) circle [from wifi (blue, grey, red, yellow, green)] in the corner of each pic (small one) for the stage
