What? Was there even a conflict there? I didn't see anything at all, really. This isn't an argument sage.

All I said is that there is a point to having an SSS, I didn't even say we should have one..........

yeah it is. you're complaining about the sss being "pretty and convenient"

Who the **** honestly cares? There are more important things to discuss.

I said "It might as well be pretty and convenient since you have to look at it before every match".

I wasn't complaining I was pointing out something.

This is ******** and needs to end.

And how do we know that that won't leave us with the exact same problem?

EDIT@SMK: there is no chance to get 75m on random. None. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. We should focus more on splitting MK 1-1 and 1-2 than on a non-existant chance of getting stage #43 with a random select that supports 41 stages.

EDITEDIT: yes, 43. The menu takes up #42. and either way, I went to random select, turned off all but 75m, and selected random 10 times. The result? 10 consecutive WWRs
LIES. I still got 75m this past weekend on 7-21 on random when it was off (meaning 75m was off).

It doesn't matter anyway, it's gone and that's that.

Exactly. Don't point out stuff that doesn't need to be changed. Point out things that are problem points so people can fix them. Making the SSS more pretty =/= fixing something.

He was pretty humble about it actually. I personally don't care about the SSS as long as all stages are there(except for maybe Mario Bros.) and it doesn't inconvenience those with little cpu acess.

The reason it's taking so long is because of the new engine codes. the next nightly after the next one will probably come a lot sooner due to there not having to be as nearly as many conversions.

not to bother/demand/be a whiny *****, but it'd be cool for the new nightly to be released this week, since i intend to bring B+ to a melee smashfest <_< >_>
...=D *shot*

new engine codes? O: i thought the main thing was the PSA conversions to .pac

...I don't think so.

All I know is that shanus had spent a HUGE chunk of time getting the new engine codes stable.

I like the SSS in the 7-21 build..

although, it should be taken out, seeing as how it's, apparently, causing major problems.

Well, there's nothing stopping you from adding your own Custom SSS. But thinking about it, what you see isn't a big deal when most of us just push the random button anyway.

I still feel that the deeper you get into Falcon's metagame, the more shallow he becomes. His approaches are mediocre and he gets comboed very easily. To make up for this, I'm going to suggest using PSA to replace all of his B moves with Falcon Punch. Up-B will become a rising Falcon Punch. Down-B will be a Falcon Punch that flies horizontally across the stage and downwards in the air. Forward-B will be a Falcon Punch that moves horizontally until it hits an enemy (which it always does), at which point it launches them slightly into the air as with the old Raptor Boost.

I really feel that these changes will add a lot of depth to Falcon's game, as it buffs his strengths instead of his weaknesses and really adds to his pre-existing game. This project should be about making characters actually good at what they should be good at, instead of homogenizing the cast by fixing weaknesses such as having moves that aren't Falcon Punch.

I think we need to take it one step further and replace all his A moves with Falcon punch as well. I mean, c'mon, who ever even uses them anyway when we could just falcon punch? For that matter, why use the analog to run when you could use it to aim your falcon punches? same with the c-stick, then you could aim in different directions and he can falcon punch with both hands.

Really, I think we could definitely boost him to a whole new level of metagame with these slight changes, as we shift our focus from comboing, to, you know, the pawnch of win.

This is a Linux user reporting that the Windows installer file works fine if you run it through WINE. I wasn't able to get it to see the SD card, but you can just get it to install wherever and then just merge 'app', 'private', and 'codes' folders with the ones on your SD card. Maybe something to that effect should be put on the site. Or maybe not, since other Linux users are probably smart enough to figure it out themselves.

Ah, Bowser still has no SA on backwards crawl then? And Mario Bros. has yet again eluded removal...and Ness doesn't OHKO everything he sees..;_;

I might as well delete my old nightly replays and move the official ones over to my SD now.

Fixed the windows installer to allow SD card select. You used to have to type it in before.
