Ugh, I'm seriously taking a break from character edits for a bit. It's going really slow and I have pretty much nothing to show for it.

This is in part by me deciding to take a stab at Olimar.

What is this I don't even.

I like all 3, but 64 is the best.

There are only two things in Brawl I don't like, Mach Tornado being MK's neutral B, and a grab by ICs being a stock.

Speaking of which, working on a new neutral special for MK. I just feel that Nado doesn't fit 64 very well, and is hella broken with the physics/mechanics.

Considering how there are so many fast, disjointed attacks in smash 64, I don't think you'll have to worry about tornado being a problem.

Nope, it won't have to extend all the way. But it won't trip anymore, since that would be a little bit broken.

I also have plans for Wolf.

You'll see. :p

What fun would it be to ruin the surprise? I've also got plans for Link/Toon Link. Link will be pretty much his 64 self... except for a few nice bonuses.

Are you going to remove tripping from all attacks? IMO some moves (beyond the bananas) could use it.

Also will you keep Kirby's Brawl Up air? It's much better than his Brawl neutral air/64 up air

Any extras will come later.

Right now I'm just trying to get Falcon's animations right.

You have no idea how tempted I was to give his NAir the knee animation. No idea.

Range differences, mostly.

Oh, also something I've decided to do. A sort-of buff for Falcon I'd like to confirm.

Side taunt is a fake-out Falcon Punch.

Just a slight update I'd like to throw out, since it's finally working nicely.

Added codes.
~ Shield Max 50 -> 55
~ Shield Decay 0.28 -> 0.0625
~ Shield Recovery 0.07 -> 0.1
~ Shield Reset 30 -> 55
~ Shield Damage Ratio 0.7 -> 1.0
~ No air dodge in tumble [Phantom Wings, spunit262]
The last code finally eradicates the last of air dodging! All traces of the air dodge have FINALLY been eradicated. Can't quite believe it was that simple.

Hitstun is an approximation. I'm still working on getting it right. Lack of a laptop and my parents throwing every possible obstacle they can in my way to actually do testing are pretty much why I can't do much work for hitstun. I'm going to be getting myself a new laptop finally in the next couple of weeks, then work should pick up quite a bit, with far more accuracy. The value is certainly close, but I think it's still a few frames off.

Shield data is frame perfect, except for a single small thing involving regeneration which isn't all that big, it's functionally the same.

Well, I've thought it over. And I've decided the way I want to go with this is nightly builds. However I want to get some character modifications into the file first. You are, however, free to play it should you get past the password until then. I have no issues with it. Just know that any version you have will become quickly outdated.

Now, Jackpot08, I include in the package my own XML for loading the project. I may add updated modlaunchers to the OP.

And it's definitely confirmed on me getting a new laptop. My tax refund should get here in a week, and it's a pretty hefty one, upwards of $600, all of it going towards my new laptop.

Right now I have someone who said that they'll try to disassemble the original game, so depending on what he finds, this project may go much faster. Porting shield information was really easy, I'm beginning to suspect Brawl and 64 are much more similar than I would have suspected, mechanics-wise. Expect a fruitful next couple of months.

:salamace:

*EDIT* I'll warn you all now.

Don't expect this to perfectly resemble 64 for the first while.

It'll have certain aspects, yes.

For example, no crouch canceling. Why? No code exists to do that.

I need you to find things wrong, things which need to be added.
