Electric/ Steel would have a 4x weakness to EQ, which is a very common move...

Would? Magnemite family
Magnezone can use Magnet Rise for what it's worth. It's not worth it, Magnezone is too slow!
I forgot for a moment that there was an electric/steel pokemon...

...

On topic, I think a steel/ ghost with levitate would be cool

Everyone is allowed to forget :). But just once.

Steel Ghost would be so, well weird but awesome. High Sp. Atk and High Defense lulz

The coverage against Fighting and less damage from Dark wouldn't be a bad thing :O

I <3 Fighting types.

Infernape, Breloom, Machamp, Lucario, Blaziken...so good. @.@

There needs to be a legendary fighting type.

Seconded for justice. I can't express it enough.

Granted, there should also be Poison and Bug types for legendaries too. I'm not entirely sure why they haven't yet, actually. All three could easily have a legendary without much thought.

Water,Pyschic, and Ghost.

I like Water-types more, but Ghost-types can put the hurt on normal types, and Pyschic types can use psychokinesis.

Dark is my favourite, mostly because of Honchkrow, Houndoom, Weavile, Umbreon and a couple of more.

Fire would have to be second i guess. Reasons are mostly because i always use fire types xD

It's hard to pick just one type because there are too many pokes I like. I guess I'll go with water.

Dragon / Fighting would most likely be the best offensive typing.
As a single type I'd say ice and dragon are the best two types for attacking and steel for defence.

Dragon is just too good both resists and neutrality of its attack (why do you think ice beam is so common?)

Why, Steel, of course. Their typically low speed and enormous defensive stats suit my general style of play well. Most can also learn very powerful moves like Iron Tail. Ground comes in second mainly because of their high number of super-effective matchups and the fact that Groudon is one. My fav Poke is Steelix, of course. :)

Well, I didn't main Ganon for nothing, did I?

I have a thing for Ice and Dragon Pokemon.

Dragonite and Articuno and Jynx especially.

Steel and Dragon types ftw. Although I don't really like Dialga. Looks nothing like a Dragon or like it's made of Steel. >__>

I'd have to say I like all Dragon type pokes except Dialga and Altaria.
And I like all Steel types except Dialga.

Ghost looks awesome, and the resistance against Normal and Fighting is too good. Dragon also seems to have my favorite pokemon too, so that's pretty god.

Normal type is good thanks to its incredible versatility, with many Pokemon learning many moves of many different types.

Many Fire Pokemon can be used as very good mixed sweepers, but pale in defense.

Steel Pokemon are just awesome with its many resistances, definitely one of the best defensive types.

Ground has Earthquake, automatically making it a great offensive type.

Water types are very versatile as well - ranging from the offensive Gyarados, , to the Specially-adept Milotic, to the 'Why won't you die!?!" Swampert and Quagsire.

Psychic has Wobbufett, Mewtwo, and Deoxys. Enough said. Their defenses are pretty mediocre though, excluding Lugia and Deoxys-D.

Really, all the types have some pro that makes them so good in the competitive scene. Except for Ice. No resistances except to itself. And mediocre Defenses to cap it off. :(
