He'll come when he comes. Relax. No! I don't want to wait for October! I want them as soon as Fall starts!
I would say expect October at the earliest to keep hopes in check.

:') Oh man! The memories of grabbing Jiggies! It made me cry hearing it again!Yeah I certainly hope their victory theme is the Note Door Open/Get All Jiggies In a World theme. Seems far more victorious and triumphant for a Smash Bros. victory than the sillier Get Jiggy ditty lol.
And while I don't necessarily want them being overly complicated, I do at least want Banjo & Kazooie to have some sort of Fighter Ability to make them stand out from everyone else, especially among the third party/DLC characters.
Well they did do it for both Joker and Hero, even if it was part of the bigger game update for 3.0/4.0. I would hope they'd at least give a little demonstration/presentation on what Banjo & Kazooie would bring to Smash and how they'd play in the game.
The moronic interns running the site are hibernating. Why in the hell is Banjo's page still not up? What exactly are they waiting for?
You can't argue with results. This is the most joy I have gotten out of Nuts and Bolts:Rare's Twitter is holding a little contest and the prize is Nuts and Bolts. The entire community is ****ting on the game, and Rare is joking with them about it... I appreciate their sense of humor lol.

And I don't like your profile picture or username. But life is filled with little concessions.
At the end of the day, I think we do need to be grateful that Rare can joke about their own failures in a way that doesn't feel too weird or have snark towards the fans. You can't argue with results. This is the most joy I have gotten out of Nuts and Bolts:

I guess I enjoy Nuts and Bolts now. Rare said so.
It helps that, having British origins, it's in their cultural blood to have self-deprecation. Bit humble in that sense. At the end of the day, I think we do need to be grateful that Rare can joke about their own failures in a way that doesn't feel too weird or have snark towards the fans.
Few companies do that nowadays.
Don't you mean "brit humble"?It helps that, having British origins, it's in their cultural blood to have self-deprecation. Bit humble in that sense.
Early October then! He'll come when he comes. Relax.

I'm more concerned as to when Krazy will try to do his Banjo suit stunt, exactly.I'm still very sad that we still won't know what Banjo Kirby will look like until Autumn.
I imagine his page will be viewable after the september direct and then banjo will be out in october. Why in the hell is Banjo's page still not up? What exactly are they waiting for?
We waited 20 years for them to finally get in. I believe we can't wait a couple more while they continue to polish them up for release. It's nice to have that relief knowing they are in the game. No! I don't want to wait for October! I want them as soon as Fall starts!
If you want snark from Rare, follow Gregg Mayles. At the end of the day, I think we do need to be grateful that Rare can joke about their own failures in a way that doesn't feel too weird or have snark towards the fans.

WHAT A PRIZE!!! The incredibly lucky winner also gets the option of me also personally apologising to them on Twitter because it wasn’t the game they were expecting https://t.co/FrQwYC2P0s

Oh yeah! That's happening! He'll probably do it once Banjo & Kazooie are released.I'm more concerned as to when Krazy will try to do his Banjo suit stunt, exactly.
Oof, that sounds like he's holding a grudge.I didn't know this when I made this quip, but then I went on Gregg's Twitter and...

Nah, it's just Gregg's sense of humor. It's often mistaken by fans as being genuine (like when he playfully calls his games awful, or other self-deprecating type of humor). One of the things I was not a fan of in Nuts & Bolts was rather than the humor being self-deprecating, it was more making fun of fans and what the fans liked about the previous games (e.g., collectibles are tedious, aren't they?). Still, I can never quite tell what his feelings are on Banjo-Kazooie or the idea of a Banjo-Threeie. Sometimes he dismisses it, other times he entertains the notion. I bet he loves the games he's made, the fans, and would continue them if he could come up with something that satisfies him.Oh yeah! That's happening! I don't know. Self depreciating humour can only go so far before it sounds like a built up grudge. From the comments he's made about fans wanting a Banjo Kazooie remake or new Banjo Kazooie game, it seems he's pretty fed up about the duo, telling us to go play Hat in Time instead. From what I've heard with Sea of Thieves, he tried passing that up as a success at launch when it wasn't very well received. It seems like he's trying put old things to bed while only trying to create new things, regardless if it's profitable or not.Nah, it's just Gregg's sense of humor. There are no interesting leaks floating around. The best we have is the picture of that starling, and that might not even be for Smash.Have you noticed how ever since they announced Banjo the leak/rumor discussion has died down? And how nobody cares about it?
His old dream of making a pirate game finally came true, but at what cost? All that glitters is not gold.I don't know. But like you said, we can never really tell if he's being honest or not and if we've learned anything about Grant Kirkhope, looks can be deceiving or something like that.
And even then we only have until this sunday to find out anything concrete, so it's even better in that sense. There are no interesting leaks floating around. The best we have is the picture of that starling, and that might not even be for Smash.
I honestly don't mind it. We just went through 6 months of Dragon Quest speculation thanks to the Brave datamine. It got boring fast.
Wouldn't you qant a character qhos been in Multiple games? Geno isn't like Bnajo or anything. Sure he might have be one of the creators favorite dream characters and many others. But still he's not as big as Banjo and he wasn't as important to the Mario RPG story.Well Mario is Nintendo’s premier franchise and second biggest next to Pokémon. So it’d make sense for it to have more reps than other series. Also it’s not like we’re asking for toadette or some other character that’s been in a bunch of Mario games and spin-offs. This is a fan favorite character that hasn’t been in a game in over 20 years and offers a very different set of potential abilities than any other Mario character. It’s really reductive to write Geno off as just “another Mario character” imo
I'm actually kind of fine with it tbh. and besides not counting clones it's only 11.Just because there are 12 Mario characters on the roster doesn't mean you only like 12, let alone those 12 in particular.
Geno is a main character and comes from the place the story revolves around about saving, though. He’s the one that gets Mario and co. to collect the seven stars in the first place, as he tells them about the stars and convinces them to help him collect them and stop Smithy. Peach is the least important to the story.Wouldn't you qant a character qhos been in Multiple games? Geno isn't like Bnajo or anything. Why is it called "Starling leak" is it literally a bird was shown to Sabi or is their a character called Starling that I'm uninformed of?So if I'm summarising this Starling leak correctly
- The picture of a Starling was shown to Sabi with no context.
- It takes at most 3 weeks for anything to come of it (As FatManOnIce has stated in the Geno thread)
- The Starling picture has got until August 4th at EVO to be legit.
I think it's the type of bird. If this picture really is a reference to a newcomer, which I don't believe it is, I was hoping it would be for a Resident Evil character (preferably Jill Valentine). Why is it called "Starling leak" is it literally a bird was shown to Sabi or is their a character called Starling that I'm uninformed of?
I am as much in the dark about it as you are. I'm just trying to make sense of it as there isn't much context given about it.Why is it called "Starling leak" is it literally a bird was shown to Sabi or is their a character called Starling that I'm uninformed of?
Yeah, the image is from her Nintendo source. I guess she doesn’t try to get info from him anymore, but he still likes to hang out in their private discord and share things. Apparently he likes to tease with hints like this if it’s something most of them have been open about liking. So if I'm summarising this Starling leak correctly

Yeah, I'm really anticipating Doomguy too. He's become kind of my most wanted, lol (bar Dixie and Bomberman, but they're sadly not happening). But the one I was really following the leak scene for was Banjo. There are no interesting leaks floating around. The best we have is the picture of that starling, and that might not even be for Smash.

That being said, I wouldn't complain if Doomguy was confirmed through some leak/datamine.
How do you know we're getting a direct in September?I imagine his page will be viewable after the september direct and then banjo will be out in october.
Every year we get a direct near September, but depending on if Nintendo wants to push Astral Chain more It could happen late August. How do you know we're getting a direct in September?
This, a thousand times.I don’t think it matters how many games a character has been in or how old they are; people still like and want them.
Well, there is Gamescom, which will cover AC there.Every year we get a direct near September, but depending on if Nintendo wants to push Astral Chain more It could happen late August.
Blast Corps and JFG seem like a given (if they didn't end up unused like Devil's Third), but the lion's share should certainly still go to the duo.So, remember my fanmade Spirit list I posted some time ago? Back then, I used the same number of total Spirits as Joker, just for argument's sake.
However, Hero came with the exact same number of Spirits. I'm starting to think this is less of a possibility and more of a pattern. Depending on whether we get Dragon Kazooie as an alt or not, we may get 10 or 11 Spirits on Banjo and Kazooie's Board. Or at least a number that's close.
I hope. Though I don't think I can see many Spirits with the potential to evolve. Maybe Grunty (BK -> BT) and a Jinjo becoming the Mighty Jinjonator, but that's it.Blast Corps and JFG seem like a given (if they didn't end up unused like Devil's Third), but the lion's share should certainly still go to the duo.
Ah, that makes sense.Every year we get a direct near September, but depending on if Nintendo wants to push Astral Chain more It could happen late August.
Um...thanks?I'll call it now: Super Rare Replay, a new version of Rare Replay focused on games on Nintendo's consoles, will be released this Holiday Season.
You're welcome.
