This isn't just a one time tournament it's to decide the ranks to start with then its like a challenge system to move up I think.

It doesn't matter if you didn't get to enter, you can just go straight into the rankings

This tournament is just to determine base rankings. When it's over, Newcomers can challenge whoever they want for their first go, but then after that it'll be restricted to no more than 3 positions above your rank.

You'll see what I mean when it gets started
