Most people read pages in a Z like fashion.

So they will start from the Top left, move to the right, then head to the bottom left, then bottom right.

They're perfectly placed.

It's not exactly true. Often you'll see what's on the right first because you scan over it to get to the left side.

Considering we read left to right, you'll look to the left more than your right. It's a natural reflex.

On that note, if we're going for SUPER PERFECT DESIGN EVERYTHING. Why not make the site yellow? (/sarcasm)

The point is, if something sticks out on the right as you move over the right to get to the left to start you 'left to right'. You're going to look at it first.

That being said, I like the site the way it is, except for the couchwarriors banners colours in comparison to the site and it's alignment to 'AuSmash'.

but yeah w/e

Edit: Is there a thread for that perth tournament?
http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=227548 is the listing, otherwise we usually discus stuff in the perth thread.

As for the couch warriors banner

Delete the background, maybe outline the name in black/blue and it's fine.

Also hopefully I'll get around to it and do a writeup for the connection tour.

Alzi, it's a simple arcade joystick.

Only within a given field, i.e. what you're currently focussing on, and before your focus settles it obviously needs to be drawn by something. What you're saying would apply here if the layout had a proper balance, but it doesn't; there's a big, darkish, coloured mass drawing your attention from an otherwise pale and greyscale layout.

Lol i knew what it was. :p

It just ruins the Logo completely. Hmm as Attila said before i could battle out S.D with my own site but i honestly do not have the time to make a site of my own.

i think it was more of a payout...
since your **** site would contrast with sd's good site.. and make sd's site look godly.

Sorry, arcade-style. >.>

As in, not the kind you see on a modern gamepad.

No worries brah, looking forward to it. In other news I have a very special guest author writing up what I think will be a very interesting read.

Ummm as said without the Joystick it's text, not much a logo. And Alzi not everything needs to have 234 different googled images pasted on a background with size 1 font.

Atari, not arcade.
Atari 2600

Sheesh Mic I expected better.

I wish I was old enough to remember a time when you could only see an arcade stick in an actual arcade...

Wait, no I don't.

SD, I'm about to send you the article. Still need images to throw your way though, but at least it's written.

Yeah i would be happy to host people for smash, it should be the Australian smash capital, like Canberra, not the most populated place, just a small made up place where all the leaders meet up

I haven't had my phone for about a week, since I left it in a friend's car. When I get my phone back I'll have a look ;)

Btw I'm writing another article at the moment - current trends (and bad habits :p) in australian brawl. Hopefully we'll have more metagame related articles before long.

Edit: Not sure whether the paragraph after every sentence thing was a result of the way google docs formatted my article for email, or if its something you did in order to mimic newspaper format. If you changed it for AuSmash then thats totally fine. Just checking to see whether emailing the article altered the layout at all :)

we forgot to put on dragonforce, that's why we did 2-0 with several stock in hand like every other set we played.

Almost lost what? I didn't say anything of the sort. I just jokingly pointed out that you guys got rolled on Pokefloats.

I think I should have an article where I rant about Smash/fighting games/vidya regularly. We all know that nobody in the scene, nay, nobody in the entire world can challenge my monologue skills, and thus ausmash would be a good place to show it off, and you all know it.
