I own Meta's like no tomorrow, I don't know what's the fuss with them, I have more trouble versus good snakes/Olimars.

when you get grabbed we all know that mashing buttons breaks you out, but does every button on the controller help or only some?

As in, does moving the control stick do it, but not pressing (A)? Or does every button you press help?

-----Press A, B, L, R, X, Y, or Z - 6 frames is reduced from the time you'd be held in a grab.

-----Press The Analog stick in 1 of the 4 cardinal directions(angles don't count) - 6 frames is reduced from the time you're held in a grab (24 frames is reduced after 1 complete rotation of the analog stick, so 2 and 1/2 rotations reduces the time by 1 second).

How do you SDI out of Zelda's USmash? There was a similar question regarding this, but it did not specifically address how to escape it.

Not exactly a brawl question, really, but

How many australian players are there on Smashworld forums? Roughly? A guess along the lines of "none, a couple, a fair few, lots or we're all australians" would be enough. I'm just having a lot of trouble finding people to play against.

in order to actually get it to work, you pretty much HAVE to have either z or r set to attack.

then you dash>cstick>up+r (or z, depending on which one you have set to attack).

you almost press cstick and up+r at the same time, but not quite. i can do it almost every time.

Plenty mate. Plenty.

Currently I'm playing Tournament Director to Queensland's biggest Brawl Tournament (And biggest QLD smash tournament ever), with players travelling in from Melbourne and Sydney.

There was at one time a fairly strong Tasmania scene, they hosted 'BoO' and 'BoO 2: 2nd Scare'

Anyway, try this link:

These are the Aussie subforums.
Try making a Tasmania thread, you're sure to get somebody :)

I hope this is the right place...

Why does my Wii vibrate so much when running the Brawl Disk? It vibrates for other games but no where near to the extent Brawl does. My family are even complaining they can feel it downstairs sometimes O.o Is there any way to make it stop the infernal vibrating?

Wow. Uhhhhhhhhh.

Maybe it's just your wii. I don't think I've ever had that problem.

Trying setting it on top of a folded cloth/tshirts/anything you can think of. It won't stop the vibrating, but will probably muffle the sound?

I've resorted to putting my mouse mat on which stops everyone else in my family hearing the vibrating. It still makes a fairly nasty sounds and I'm constantly worried that the disk is getting scratched or something. It only seems to do the vibrating + sound when there's a disk in the Wii. If I use the internet channel for example, the Wii is as quiet as a mouse ><

My Wii does make weird noises initially when I put the disc in sometimes (Rarely though).

You haven't dropped your wii or anything silly like that have you?

Wait, are you trying to say hitting it with a sledge hammer was a bad idea? 10sledgehammers

After consulting my Dad, he's found me a solution. I've cleaned the fan of the Wii out incase it was overheating and we've stood my Wii on some thick carpet underlay (I'm being deadly serious). The vibrating/sound is considerbly less than it was before and it's very quiet now :) cheers for your help

On my Wi-Fi, I have put in Friend Codes, and people here have said they added me too but it still says it has to be verified, do we have to be on at the same time or what?

I dunno, usually you just have to add the other person and they add you and you're good to go.

In smash 64 does link's shield protect him from projectiles like in melee or brawl.
