And yes, Ashley is extremely disliked. It's like, a fad or something to dislike her and come into this thread in packs and attempt to put Ashley down. Why you ask? I honestly don't know. It's not like she has a extremely high chance of getting in and she's some sort of threat to their precious characters like Ridley or Geno.

People on this site take things FAR too seriously, and they are way over opinionated. Just don't let it get to yah ^_^.

No character has a 0% chance of making into Super Smash Bros. Brawl unless they were unconfirmed by the Dojo, or seen as an assist trophy. Ashley is neither, so therefor has a small chance (regardless of how small of a chance, it still doesn't make it 0).

The people here do not BELIEVE Ashley will be in the game, we merely hope that she somehow gets in, thats it, nothing more to it.

Perhaps you need to make your references a little more specific then huh?

Her "fad" of fans were people that wondered how she would be in Brawl, and liked the idea. The people who are Anti-Ashley barely have any reason to be so hostile towards the character, she doesn't even have a good chance to harm the characters they want in, so why would someone hate the character is beyond me.

Anyone with Common Sense would completely oppose the idea of her in Brawl.

Palutena was a wondeful choice for Brawl, but her series is retro and small at that too that's probably the reason she didn't make it in though she was far more original and a better choice than most of the suggested characters.

Wario's series on the other hand is big and long-lasting too.

What I meant by that is that Palutena quickly gained a fanbase after she was shown in the Subspace video, once she was shown as part of Pit's Final Smash, her hype faded.

her fans were there long before that, and the polls prove that if her series would be recurring like WarioWare her spot would have been guaranteed, just like the very small Starfox series had two characters in Melee despite being extremely small.

Not completely.

It's not that no one liked Ashley, it's that no one considered her for Brawl before the update. That update got people thinking that "hey, maybe this character would be cool in brawl" and thus a fan base sprouted. No one likes Ashley because it's the "in" thing.

I have not spoken to every single person who is against Ashley, that would be near impossible, but it feels as though many of them are just following the crowd of disliking the character. I'm not saying that's the truth, but certainly how it appears to me.

There are many, many more people who don't like Ashley than do.
