I'm not going to argue with you in the Arkansas topic anymore. I had a long post typed out but it's pointless. The last thing I'm going to say about it in here is this: You have many mental blocks that will impair your ability to get better at smash brothers in ANY community. Saying "It's just YOU" is a mental block. This is 100% factual because you have no supporting physical evidence of otherwise. In fact, I'm sure if you ask anybody if having a problem against a certain player for no rhyme or reason could possibly be anything other than a mental block they'll tell you no. It's not because of the skill gap, because you are supposedly fine playing other players that are better. It's not because of the character matchup, because I can use any character against you and get the same result. It's simply your mind making something up out of thin air. Hey guess what? I can't type very fast on Thursdays. I don't know why. It's not the keyboard or the computer. It's not my mood. It's not anything but a mental block and it's fake to anybody but the person that believes that it's true. Saying that you can play ANY smash player on the planet besides me is just silly.
EDIT: I can tell you how to beat me right now. Play patiently. I'm not a very patient player and will almost always move in to attack first. Bait me and then punish. Watch my recovery. I'm habitually bad at recovering. I use the same methods nearly every time. When you tech roll, use the most obvious roll choice. I consistently count on my opponents to make the "best" roll option. If you are near the ledge and tech rolling, it seems smartest to tech away from the edge. Because of that a lot of players will roll towards the ledge. I tend to tip my hand a little early and preemptively prepare for that option instead of being less hasty and covering other options better. Use characters I have little experience with. I will often drop matches in a set to players I'm technically much better than when they use one of the following characters: Marth, Jiggs, ICs, Donkey Kong, Link, Young Link, Zelda, Pikachu, Pichu, Yoshi, Doctor Mario, Mario, Luigi, Game N Watch. Make johns while we play. I have this bad habit of letting up when my opponent makes a half ***** excuse as to why they are losing. Maybe your controller is not working right, or your hand hurts. Focus on quick combo's. My reaction time is pretty below average. When I get hit several times in rapid succession my DI is nonexistent and I get to the point where I'm just watching the combo's. Use more pro-level habits that I'm not used to playing against, like light shield ledgeguarding Marth. Since nobody we play with actually does that, it really throws me off and will often lead to a stock for you at very low percent. Or do something other than trying to double shine or WD out of shine. Watch my most recent set vs cookie monster. He actually short hop nairs out of shines and then falls away out of grab. Nobody in our crew does that. We all just WD out of shine or try to double shine. Or land an aerial and don't go in to a shine. Try a jab, another aerial, a shine-grab, ect. The fact is I'm really not a good player and I'm not surprised at all that you or Yoshiman or anybody else knows several ways to beat/punish me in game. The game is about execution though and I can assure you that if you remove your lame mental blocks you will execute a lot better than you do now.
