Sorry for leaving you out there Lecto. There were just some promotion/clan issues going on between me, Xigon, and the Wolf clan. The rule for an officer in Altus-Sceptrum to only be in the MK clan was trashed.

Jay-B You know i would never say we were allied if it wasn't true i like meta-knight almost as much as i like wolf.
I wanted to be in both clans, i didnt know it would violate any clan restriction laws or nothing.
I was just caught in the middle of two people and two clans.

With all that aside. I decided to play some melee after not playing it for some time. Dang it felt weird and my skills diminished a bit. I probably won't play melee again since Brawl is coming, but now I know what will happen when you stop playing for a while lol.

Hah, you sure? From what I see, it's almost impossible to spike with him. He's like Sonic. He can only rack up damage easily, but until you get to 200%, your foe's like the army in Iraq, he just wont pull out.

MK doesn't have to spike to kill people, he can kill around 100% with his d-smash and f-smash. He racks up damage easily like you said, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem to KO someone. he can also edgeguard pretty well too, he just won't usually get a kill out of it.

Hey. I wanna know just what's so great about metaknight. I don't have a problem with him, I'm just wondering why so many people want his babies.

He is a good character. If anyone wants proof of that, I will fight them (assuming they have Brawl like me, of course). Actually, saying he is a good character is a moot point, as all of the characters have been balanced so much that everyone of them can hold their own.
I am getting sick of people saying that a particular character isn't good when the sole reason is a different play style than what that person is used to, or just plain not liking the character. I think Wario is a 'bad' character, but that is only because I don't know how to use him. Anyone who mains Wario will say that he is good. Why? (You guessed it: They know his play style and have had experience playing with him!)

Yeah, it's because he looks awsome. If I didn't like MK as a character so much I might have just stuck to using Wolf only. As for Wario, I thought he was stupid at first and didn't like him. After I saw tournament gameplay and saw how he actually fought, I started to think he was pretty cool.
Ya. Thats a good point. My friend asked me whos the best character, I knew that i was gonna say MK but i said that its based on taste and talent.

Since the characters are so balanced, the teir list will end up being based on the skills of the players and not the character. I wonder if there will be an actual "strongest character" in brawl.

Ya metaknight's not my style. I don't like characters with quick, weak, and incredibly percentage-raising attacks. I prefer Ness, with all his lovely mindgames . ya i might try metaknight but it would only be because he is sexy

Is anyone else in Alatus Sceptrum going to be taking part in the Gamestop Tourney? I am practicing with the Wii remote+Nunchuck in Brawl from now on to prepare for it

I probably will. I started a thread in our forum about it if you didn't notice. That forum is really inactive. The part about the remote+Nunchuck is not so attractive though. Is it hard to get used to it? If I do play it will be my first shot at Brawl and the controller.

It isn't terrible. The worst part is jumping and shielding. If you can get over that (the buttons on the nunchuk were so awkward for me :\ ), you are golden. You should get initially used to it pretty quickly. It won't be comfortable, but again, you can keep up with the basics without any problem. Just MAKE SURE you know all of the controls beforehand: Things like you can throw away items by pressing any button on the D-Pad are useful to know.
I would ove to participate in a tourney wiht you guys... If i had the game. But still, im not giving up hope. Its now the 28 febuary and its a vacation weak until brawl comes out. Dang it come out the day before i restart school. When I get the game, I am defenitily be doing alot of events.

Dang I wish we had a vacation after Brawl came out lol. We need to get MK to win this thing lol. The winner at the last tourney in Los Angeles was Kirby I think.

What do you mean if you had the game? You don't have to have the game in order to participate, Brawl will be provided for you along with a controller. I'm going to the same Gamestop that I pre-ordered it at. They have a list of stores that are having it on their website. (www.gamestop.com/smash)

With the busy HW schedule I have, there will be no way that I can play on the weekdays. So hopefully there will be tourneys here on the weekends.
