i'm not arguing against fundamental genres like rock, classical, country, etc. i'm arguing against pointless subsubsubgenres that seems to be invented by 13 year olds who think they're clever by mashing together keywords to form some bull**** genres to describe an extremely small percentage of songs out there. do you care if you listen to house or acid house? would you really consider not listening to a house song if it wasn't acid house?

edit: i remember back when i used to play ffr, i learned that, iirc, hardcore, speedcore, splittercore, and extratone are all the same thing with just a tempo increase on the beat each time, to the point where i wouldn't even consider extratone music. yet apparently something ****ty like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeQ4hKr1IZI (skip to 1:17 to see why i wouldn't consider this music) deserves separate genres?

i have an offtopic question that i'm hoping someone can help me with cause i can't find any info on this:

what's the difference between all of the 100-level physics courses at the U of A? if i haven't taken physics 30 (but i'm very familiar with half of the concepts in it), what should i be taking? what exactly is physics 114 and does that actually give you credit towards anything?

But personally, I love it. I am able to hear all the little things going on and it really takes away from the repetitiveness that the older stuff had.

But when you think about it, doesn't every genre of music follow this same pattern but to more of an extent? Rock? Hip-hop? Reggae? R&B? They have all become self-similar within their own genres.

oh you're right mike, technically it is 2 sig digs, HOWEVER that's not why she removed the mark for it

i put 0.05 mL x (1 L / 1000 mL) = 5 x 10^(-5) mL and she specifically marked that part wrong and said it should've been 5.0 x 10^(-5).

my guess is that her TA manual told her the final answer for the question was pH = 7.0, but she didn't know where the extra sig dig came from, so she just randomly selected a formula and blamed it on that

either way it irks me how picky she is cause the non-rounded answer to the question was 6.9999999 so no matter how you round it, you're gonna get 7
