it's too bad actually, I think some arts courses could be really beneficial to take.

emphasis on "some" though.

On the flip side, next to NONE of what you learn in science courses will be used on a day to day basis, but the piece of paper saying you have a degree is actually worth something (unlike arts, for the most part).

I'm somewhere in the middle right now, taking e-commerce.
It's basically half Comp Sci, half Business.

where im at right now, all my courses could be used on a day to day basis in the workplace, including the math courses even in 1st or 2nd year engg (math 101, 102, 209, 200 something forgot lol)

well i've done first year of Engineering (before I switched)
and I have friends going for their masters and doctorates in engineering/mathematics etc.
So I kinda know the topics a bit

I guess it comes down to what kind of Job you get when you are done.


3 of my friends who are done their eng degree dont even like it and want to do something different (all 3 of them are asian and perhaps they were forced into it by their parents, I dunno)

but that is to do with personal choice, not relevance of the program.

Lol U of C has a Starcraft Club. And a Video Game club. With Brawl tourneys only. I'm going to change that.

Yo that would be so much better for like venue tourneys n stuff cause then we don't have to pay as much to rent out a school gym or hotel or something. I know registration for the club is $5, and it could be like $2.50 to U of C students for MM tourneys and like $5 for everyone else.
