i find it amusing that most people are saying that Luigi has gotten better in brawl, when in melee his wavedash seems to be what made him any good.

maybe its the fact that since no one else can wavedash either he's better by comparison :-P

Had fun last night. Of course I still played more Melee than Brawl, which is completely fine at this point.

i completely did not expect the to be a spike away from the stage wile he was facing it. that was just awesome.

@moogle: Are we smashing tuesday, please tell me yes because i have tuesday off again and i'd rather like to have a "smash night" on a night when i can play ><, melee or brawl i love both. are you keeping your friends wii till you get the mod chip? or did you decide to just wait till march 9th?

errr... i guess you can do whatever you want. you do have a lot of ppl on your list that never post here. i still like to play melee, we could keep our melee characters listed just for sentiment's sake. but honestly, whatever you do is cool with me.

once you make a new topic/character list, i'll list my chars again. they might change by that time.

i like monopoly, although, I have never in my life successfully completed a game according to the rules of the game. Generally me and my friends play until everyone just says **** this I quit.

I've been looking at videos, and I am really interested in Wario. He looksl ike someone I might like to play. He seems to have among the worst recoveries in the game though, from what I've seen. This is awesome too, because I LOVE Wario, like I always pick him on every game he's playable, from Mario party, to mario golf, to mario kart. (One exception is Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, that game (which is pretty awesome, its like Mario Party, except without the boring board game part) you have to do strategic selection of character if you want to win. Like who do you think would be a better choice for a footrace, Wario, or Sonic lol.)
I reserved judgment for Brawl because I actually want to play with characters that fit my style, but from the looks of it, I thik i'll be able to play with him after all.

Wario's pretty fun to play. His aerial game is great I think. And his fsmash roxorz. Wario Waft is one of my most common kill moves as well

But yeah, if we remake the 1st post for Brawl, I guess i'll be Sonic/Metaknight/Wario/Pikachu or something.

Open Canvas is good, GIMP might do what you need though.

based purely on the massive amount of Videos i've watched (which probably means my opinion is full of hot air) high tiers are lookin like:

Highest Tier: meta knight, peach, diddy
High tier: Dedede, Wario, Sonic, Marth

there was a better thread about tripping/ink dropping created a while back. the user Hitaku did like 1765161248930 tests on it. not all of what the thread creator says is true. but it's really not that important, i don't feel like finding that other thread.

Oh, something will be available. It may not be widely accepted or considerate of the entire roster, but that won't stop people from making tier lists. It will be ugly, actually, but we won't know any better until it changes.

Since we're living in a post-YouTube, online, and post-Wavedash world, I expect that the cycle of discovery and acceptance will accelerate from the Melee days. Then again, there are so many characters, this time that it may be harder to come up with something everyone will agree on. For now, all characters are created equal(ish) and the world is your oyster.

sheik needs tech skill? i beg to differ lol

Fox needs tech skill, but you can't really get by with fox PURELY with tech skill, like you can with Falco

and making lists is fun and interesting. That's really the only useful function of a tier list to begin with, is purely because its interesting.
and the tier list isn't based purely on tourney results, I don't understand why everyone says that. Marth is higher than DK not because Marth wins more tournaments, but because Marth is a better character and because Marth owns that matchup. Tourney results factor in, which i presume is why space animals are top tier, even though Marth is probably a better character than then both, but its not the only criteria, its not even the main criteria.

What does piss me off is those people who worship the tier list and looks at anyone who plays with a non-high tier character as if they were mentally ********.

awesome. Is it an import? torrent? broken street date? i got to play Brawl at Moogle's a few times, but we all know that's not the same. quality time with the game = discovery, mastery, innovation.

How's Rock Band, by the way? I don't own it, but those "punk" and David Bowie song packs absolutely mock me every time I log on Xbox live.
