Alabama Thread! (10/26/2016 update)

bah makes me sad that i had to work today.... have we changed the date for smashfests or is it still tuesday? Because im actually off work tuesday. infact now that i think about it, anyday this week mon-thurs i'll be able to play, but tuesday or wednesday are the best for me.

Also, the night that Brawl comes out, I propose that we all get together that night and record some matches. It'll be great.

Brawl will be shipping the 10th, meaning in stores the 11th, meaning we're getting it the 11th..

That's a Monday. I can't...sowwy. And even if I COULD get to Huntsville, it's my sister's birthday.

Or are you not even ganna worry about it and just play matches ?

I plan on playing to atleast unlock most of the characters ( and yes i know when you play online there all ganna be unlocked already but what about when you play locally eh ? )

i know that when i get the game i'm going to call out of work and stay up reeeeally late playing it nonstop. i plan to unlock as much as i can before i start having seizures O_o i guess some of us are going to need to buy a wii memory card, huh? maybe not. :/

Joot, you won't have to worry about air dodging off the edge anymore in brawl . Also i was wondering, do you study KoreanDJ because you play a lot like him.

Yes, I try to study KoreanDJ as much as I can. He's the best Fox, hands down. I love technical Fox's, and recently DaShizWiz has just amazed me. He's also one of my favorites now. I saw his tourney vids recently and good grief, he's a monster.

you know i dunno who's influenced by style the most, i know my roy was learned from mslano for the most part, other than that i dont know. i watch a lot of videos so maybe I picked up a little of everyone. I need to pick up more because I'm still not very good :-D

yeah, but my roy doesn't really play much like his. neo's really good with mindgames and being unpredictable and thats what makes him good, he plays roy way more daring than I'm willing to play. I dont have the reflexes or strategic creativity to rely on mindgames. I play way more defensively with Roy and try more to rely on spamming spammable moves lol (ahem DED ahem d-tilt) and letting them lead me into more powerful ones, or in Roy's case, more powerful ONE.
But I definitely learned a lot from watching neo. i also watch Masashi's Roy. My Roy most closely mimics mslano's though lol simply because i've played with him the most in the past half year

you are soooo right. Neo's mindgames are insane. that's why GA Peach's Roy is so good. he studied Neo a lot and his mindgames are just ...... i don't wanna talk about it.

That's a shame. I'm sure it's for good reason, but still. Brawl is a different game. Perhaps there will be no need to ban these stages in the future.

I will probably be attempting to play Olimar, as I <3<3<3 the Pikmin games.

well, no one seems to be terribly upset with Olimar. i for one am not in the least excited by his appearance. i never played Pikmin. but who knows, maybe he'll be a decent character. hopefully there'll be more characters D:

smash was great last night, all who came. i want to thank saint and moogle for pitching in for the pizza. that really helps me out. you guys really didn't have to do that, and i appreciate it greatly. perhaps i'll get domino's next time so it won't be so expensive and still be a half decent meal.

I was sort of thinking along the same lines, but it seems he might attack directly with them. Given the fact he can have 5 different things following him around, I'm very interested in seeing how his metagame develops.
