If people don't understand what shield DI looks like:
Whoaaaaaa wtf i wish i could do that.

How do you move like that in shield... i really don't understand how this works.

In shieldstun you push in the direction you want to go. With Shield SDI you use CStick. The timing is very precise...

Most kill moves have a bit of shield stun though. Combine that with a jump to DAir and we are in business.

Another application I've thought of would be if you were being hassled below by someone (like on one of the platforms on BF) and Air Walked. This way it gives you a bit of space to get in a better position.

Sooooo Steam, any news on that vid? Its been about a year since we fully realized this tech and we still don't have a tutorial vid on it lol.

If you're unable to get to it, who else might be able to help out with it?

Also, how are fellow brocarios progressing in practice with this tech?

its fairly difficult to air walk +shield SDI on reaction, but im sure it just needs some getting used to.

Why is it that I hate rising/falling dair everywhere not out of shield.

when I do it when I get slightly lifted in the air [ala kirby utilt or dthrow or something]

I fast fall and get punished.

when I'm RIGHT on top of someone as they do something laggy and SDIable [Pika/ROB dsmash, G&W bair]

I ****ing rise and only hit them with the 1st part and I get punished.

its like dair hates me.

Flammeeeeeeyyyyy :<

You rise when you jump out of hitstun, so you might wanna wait a sec and then do it. If you feel the need to jump and DAir: DI out -> wait until hitstun completely wears off and then DAir.

C-stick down buffers a fast fall, right? So... you might just wanna use down A.

Also, added the falling DAir off of a platform.

Pit's Up B also causes our DAir to act funky, but I have not fully analyzed it yet.

sheik upB's windbox, G&W's windbox, DDD's suck, and mayyyybe ness's should produce a weird effect as well.

Have you tried dairing after someone knocked you off a platform while shielding?

its make you fall slightly while dairing.

I wanted to bump this to say that out of hitstun jumped DAir is really amazing. You get to space against long horizontal attacks (ex. Falco's lasers, ZSS' side B). If something hit you with enough momentum you can even DAir or FAir and then do a rising DAir. (Ah heck, why don't we call all of this jump to DAir "Air Walking" for simplicity's sake.)

Out of hitstun it is 10-20 times easier to do a rising DAir than out of shield. Plus this will help you get your timing right for Air Walking OoS.

Another MU this helps in is... Lucario dittos lol.

Speaking of windboxes, Usmash has one iirc.

It doesn't matter much, though due to the hitboxes.

So Red Ryu and I played a number of WiFi friendlies yesterday after a ladder match. I used Air Walk a bunch and he told me that he recorded all of the games.

He told me he will upload all of the videos to YouTube, so those who want visuals will get them, finally.

Also, you'll see me SD as Falco at 0% lol.

Invulnerability frame? What?

Seriously, explain that now, please. What possibly could have made you believe there was an invulnerability frame in that move?

Same reason DDD utilt will go through another attack sometimes and other times will cancel with the same given attack? (or bowser/marth upB as well).

Iirc before it was looked into further, the old idea was that it had a few invincibility frames. Once we realized more of how certain properties worked though, it was clear that this wasn't the case.

I don't remember anyone ever mentioning that it had invincibility frames, it just does a lot of damage and thus clanks with a lot of things. :V

Absolutely nothing is weird with Dair in PSA.

All that's there is the momentum change and the hitboxes. Nothing else. :V

Ah well, thanks for checking.

I just hope and pray now something does not happen to Red Ryu (like what happened to Espy when his computer blew up). I just am so hyped to soon see this on YouTube.

Wow this really is the cursed tech...

"Red Ryu wrote at 3:47 PM on Jul 01, 2010:
kinda funny how my laptop broke before I uploaded them, they said they could tell me if my hard drive could be salvageable or not within a few days."

How many computers did it claim now? 2? 3? 4?

So yeah, looking for someone else to help get a vid up showing or explaining it still...
