Here’s All The Things That I Have That Seem To Bode Fairly Well For Waluigi’s Chances as The Last DLC Fighter.

From Stuff Such as The Takedown of The Legacy XP Mod (Which Featured Waluigi) To Stuff Like Waluigi Getting New Merch or Appearing In Tons of Promotional Material For Mario Golf Super Rush.

And Of Course,The Red Shell Hat STILL Not Returning With all the OTHER Smash 4 Mii Items.

Paragon’s comment is interesting. Saying he was told Waluigi was last and wondered if that meant he isn’t fighter 5, just that he was last and lo behold, he wasn’t. And now we’re on the last one and so much Waluigi stuff has happen overtime.

This is random, but it’s interesting to me how peoples’ opinion on Waluigi’s chances have shifted over time. Many of my friends used to always immediately deny Waluigi having any chance in smash, but now that we are to the final wait for the last character, those same friends are convinced that the last fighter will be Waluigi. Even people who aren’t fans of the character share the same gut feeling that many of us here do; him being last just fits so well lol.

Especially with the Theme Fighters Pass Vol 2 Has Going,Where Certain Characters that may not have made the cut before..Now get Their time Finally!

And Really,Waluigi Breaking the FINAL Fan-made Rule..The Last of The Mold,If you will..It just all would work PERFECTLY.

Especially since Sakurai and Nintendo BOTH have been made Aware of Requests for Waluigi Since the Early Days of Ultimate’s Development,Even before Pirahna Plant or FP1 became a Thing.

Really? I have still seen negativity towards his chances on twitter. There are people that still think assist trophies can’t become fighters in the same game.

Well,Those People are pretty stupid for Underestimating the sheer POWER of DLC.

If they can Bump up a SPIRIT to Fighter status..
or Bump up a MII COSTUME to Fighter Status.. (Sakurai Mentioned Rex Originally being CP9 But Couldn’t Add Him Because Problems with Limitations.)

At this point I really don’t see how Assist Trophies COULDN’T Become a DLC Fighter. Whether it be Shovel Knight,Isaac,Waluigi or Whoever else.

They Could EASILY disable the Character’s Assist Trophy if you Select said Character on the CSS.

Though,In the case of WALUIGI..I feel like due to His Wacky,Crazy,Unexpected Nature..Let alone His Nack for just DEFYING LOGIC AND PHYSICS,They should just ALLOW Waluigi to SUMMON His OWN Assist Trophy.

It’d suit His Character rather well and Could be something Unpredictable and Unexpected for Waluigi to be able to do.

Yeah But we’re talking about DISABLING Waluigi’s Assist Trophy..Not just Replacing em’ With some other Character.

They Could Just Disable it and add a bit of Extra coding That makes it to where when You select Waluigi on the CSS An Icon Pops Up indicating That the Assist Trophy has been disabled for the Match ONLY IF the Assist Trophy item is turned on.

I’m sure it’s possible to remove it. But only if you have the dlc of course.

Yeah, Twitter is like the birthplace of these stupid fan theories. My observations are mainly from Reddit and also people that I know personally in the real world as well

If they were to replace waluigi's assist trophy,bi would say either the Robotic Nightmares from Mario strikers, or foreman spike from wrecking crew (since I believe he isn't even a spirit)

Both not only share similar physics and attributes to Waluigi and currently lack spirits in smash ultimate, but both are connected to Waluigi, with the Robotic Nightmares sharing Waluigi's appearance and also some of his animations, plus the heads are actually Waluigi's head shape but flipped upside down and facing backwards, while Foreman Spike was one of the inspirations for both Wario and Waluigi (with one of his later designs looking suspiciously like Waluigi), plus Waluigi had Foreman's excavator as a car in Mario Kart DS and also had the wrecking crew bonus stage theme as a remix for him in Mario DDR.

I think Waluigi has a pretty good chance to be the last fighter. His backlash from 2018 caught Nintendo off guard and Reggie said that Sakurai would be aware of the groundswell support that appeared for Waluigi. So they personally went to him and told him. So he for sure 100% knows of the demand.

Couple in the fact that paragon had a leak from 2019 that correctly got Banjo and Hero right and he knew Undertale content was coming and was told Waluigi would be last. The Mario sports trademark is still mystery as to what it was filed for as nothing related to it has happen yet. More recent merchandise was made for him and even an old figure of him was re-released! I would add that render, but it’s probably for Mario party superstars. Although it is weird that they would show it off this early.

The fact Sakurai gave some characters that were heavily demanded some love (via mii costumes) and said he was aware that they were wanted makes me think he wouldn’t ignore the demand for Waluigi, but who knows.

That Mario Sports Trademark May Be Done for the Same Reason as The Banjo-Kazooie one..For SMASH.

We already Have Two Mario Spin-offs for This Year (Technically Three if you count + Rabbids) and NONE of Them Use The “Mario Sports” Name.

Pretty Suspicious if you ask Me. 👀

Also Yeah,It’s REALLY Weird As to How they showed Waluigi’s new Render VERY EARLY Before The New Mario Party’s Announcement.
Why would they Show it off So Early.. 🤔

And The fact Sakurai dedicated This recent Mii Costume Round to a lot of Big-Time Requests..It’s Interesting.

I should have posted Aces ost too because it has music I could also see fitting in Waluigi’s dlc pass along with Mario golf super rush music.
I really do believe music from this game and Mario golf super rush would be used in his fighter pass along with spirits based off of these two games.

I’d LOVE That Along with Maybe Stuff from the N64 Era (Mainly Mario Tennis and Mario Party 3),Bit of Music From Mario Power Tennis and Mario Kart Double Dash,Couple of Tracks from DDR Mario Mix (Destruction Dance is a MUST),DEFINITELY Music From Strikers (Especially Waluigi’s Theme),Songs from Mario Kart 8/8 DX and London Loop from Mario Kart Tour,And a Remix of the theme from a Mario Party E-Card Reader Minigame called “Waluigi’s Reign”.

They Could Probably even Toss in some Mario Party Superstars or Super Mario Party Music if They So Want.

The "wa" in Waluigi means he is evil and we have met the evil diversity quota. The color purple is also seen in japan as being offensive which is why they gave Waluigi ("Evil luigi") purple clothes. As interesting as it would be for some people(?) I don't think the Waluigi would make any sense for them to add. It would probably scare children on account of the purple and that also this is a game where a lot of Children play the game

I just got Super Rush for a cheap price and here's what I think :

It has a lot of potential but there is still a lot of things to fix in this game and most of the criticism towards the game are totally justified.
Battle Golf is probably the best part of the game because it can create so many great situations. Speed Golf is fine as well but these two things do not make the game that amazing. I think that Toadstool Tour is still 10 times better than Super Rush right now. I heard that the Story Mode was underwhelming and I have absolutely zero interest in playing it because it looks so boring but apparently, you have to play it to unlock the courses... but you can unlock them by playing the two other courses and I prefer that, lol.

Here's what their free updates should add in my opinion to make this game the best in the Mario Golf series :

  • New courses (confirmed)
  • New characters (confirmed)
  • New modes/mini-games
  • Make the courses not generic and more interesting in normal golf (add more obstacles)
  • Add REAL post-hole animations similar to Toadstool Tour for normal golf
  • Add replay function
  • Add tournament mode online with ranking
  • Add taunts or at least a way to communicate with others in normal golf

If they add all these things, I can guarantee that it will probably be in the top 5 best Mario Sports game ever. But so far, there is still a lot of progess to do.
They said that updates will come later INCLUDING new courses and characters which means that they will add even more things. I hope that Camelot are listening to fan feedback.

So I was thinking of what game Waluigi would have. I think a rhythm based platformer would be interesting. Because he seems to be themed around music and dancing.

A stealth platformer would be perfect. I also think he'd make a good protag choice for a new Puzzle League - a game all about smarts and indirectly causing trouble for your opponent, perfect fit for Waluigi

Anyone else ever think about this and get slightly sad/annoyed? I’ve wanted Waluigi in smash for so long, and he clearly deserves it. He’s a mainstay in games with these other 7, who are ALL in smash. Waluigi is the only one who isn’t. Just put him in already lmao. It can get even worse with more recent titles where there will be these other 7 + Diddy, Bowser Jr, and Bowser, driving the total up to 10 characters that are in smash with Waluigi being excluded, yet was in these other spin-off titles first :( he just makes so much sense to be in smash bros idk how it’s the only spin-off that refuses to add him to the roster.
