Rawrizard and 8% hitstun? I would seriously consider raising it to at least 9%

Also make sure that Dedede's and Falco's CG does NOT work on those settings or else having Shadow Moses Island on could be ugly.
Right, that's the only reason why Shadow Moses is back on, since that's the only reason it was ever banned.

The primary reason we lowered hitstun was because 10% was waaaay too much for Melee Air Dodge. Now that we've reverted back to Brawl Air Dodge, I think it's safe to raise it again. But 10% just seems too high still...

Aww man I wish the character speed increase would be in the tournament bu the code itself is so glitchy:

-Weird teleportations
-Can't ledgehop for some odd reason

But on the other hand it provides:

-Faster falls (and FF)
-Overall quicker attacks
-Faster run

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How about you guy test this code and see what you think of it:

[Run Cancel + Exit Shield Cancel + Stop/Turn Cancel]

4A000000 8077F780
D2000000 0000000A
2C030000 41820010
2C1C0005 40820008
3B800000 60000000
2C030000 41820010
2C1C0008 40820008
3B800000 60000000
2C030000 41820010
2C1C001C 40820008
3B800000 60000000
939E0038 00000000

-Essentially what this code does is it lets you do any attack out of a run (not initial dash) and even do a little slide. You can also perform grabs and pivot grabs/smash/tilt out of a run too.

-I replaced the Exit Shield animation with stand so pretty much an F-smash out of shield...kinda makes up for Yoshi's bad OOS option.

-Unfortunately you can't really dash dance like in Melee but you somewhat CAN depending on which character you're using.

I'd be glad to look into it, we'll mess around with it online sometime soon. Is this a code that others are using in tournaments?

I believe we should start a serious discussion about the validity of the infinite up b code.

I don't see a problem with it. It adds more variety and creates more OMGCOMBOS.

Nope, some people have been using it in actual matches though. Some like it some don't, it's a mixed bag of feelings really.

And, Joshu, that'd be like saying let's add Infinite Jumping because it gives other characters more than two jumps and allows them to compete with MK. >_>

Alright guys there are 2 new codes that came out which so far works perfectly and will be a nice edition to your code set:

Code:
Lagless Edges: Phantom wings (32 lines)
80000000 80623320
80000001 00000000
60000006 00000000
60000003 00000001
4A001000 00000000
4A101001 00000000
36000000 00000032
58010000 00000004
DE000000 80008180
58010000 00000060
DE000000 80008180
92210002 00000068
92210003 0000007C
58010000 0000007C
58010000 0000002C
58010000 00000004
92210004 00000018
4A001003 00000000
30000038 00000074
4A001002 00000000
3400003C 80000000
4A001004 00000000
1200004E 0000000E
12000008 00000002
E2000002 00000000
80100001 00000008
62000000 00000001
E200000F 00000000
80000001 00000000
80100000 00000244
62000000 00000000
E0000000 80008000

-Basically you can drop off ledges quicker without having to wait a certain amount of frames which can be annoying.

One thing I noticed: You lose your ledge invincibility when you drop
Code:
Crouch Cancel: 27 lines (Phantom Wings)
80000000 80623320
80000001 00000000
60000006 00000000
60000003 00000001
4A001000 00000000
4A101001 00000000
36000000 00000032
58010000 00000004
DE000000 80008180
58010000 00000060
DE000000 80008180
92210002 00000014
92210003 00000068
58010000 0000007C
30000038 00000005
4A001003 00000000
3400003C BF266666
4A001002 00000000
14000040 4F000000
E2000002 00000000
80100001 00000008
62000000 00000001
E200000F 00000000
80000001 00000000
80100000 00000244
62000000 00000000
E0000000 80008000

This isn't the crouch cancel you are thinking. Basically you cancel your run animation when crouching, which enables you to do any thing afterwards. This code may be longer but it makes the game physics look less awkward. This is similar to Melee.

By about 2-3 years...

Ken and Wes kicked off the regional crew battle idea, but they used Jeff's setup, and ultimately deferred to our rule choices.

Wait, people think Wes and Ken invented the Crew Battle??

That makes me very sad indeed. It should be well-known that it was an invention of the MW, that the first crew battle held was between Eddie/Ohio and the Ship of Fools, and that the first modern crew battles were between Chicago and the Ship. Good times, 2003. Good times.

Ooooh... we'll play with these as well. Muba, maybe you already said it, but are you able to make the tourney?
Most likely not. I've gotta get packing for Med School and can't afford to go to any tournaments, plus I've got to buy a new laptop and pay a $4,500 tuition fee for the Trimester.

I've been wanting to go to this tourney though but it's just that I'm financially tied with something else. But as long as I'm online I'll give you guys the good codes to use. Oh and also PM me the codes you're going to use and me and my team will test it out.

Quick edit it into: http://super-smash-bros.wikia.com/wiki/Crew_battle so everyone knows Jeff.
Updated. I expect Prime to do a clean-up of my terrible synopsis.

Tink, are you coming to this??

EDIT: I found the crew battle vids we recorded in December 2003 between the Ship and Chicago, but not the original one we filmed a couple months earlier. Does anyone have that one?

Question: I have a Wii with all the latest updates. If I wanted to offer my Wii as a setup for this tourney what would I have to do? I have a few VC games too. Would anything I do cause those to be lost?

Also: Venue???

Ok I read it. There were actually 9 teams at FC1. The Ship got in the play-in round against Ken's crew, and lost, getting 9th because it was single-elimination in the worst death-bracket ever.

Sweet. Big C+Tink+COK=Smashin' good time.

See what I did there?

Nope, nothing you do would make the VC games lost. You'd just have to turn off WC24 to avoid Nintendo updating your console without your consent (because they WILL and who knows what the update would do).

Also, new code for you guys to try out:

Code:
Upwards/Downwards Gravity Modifier (paprika_killer for original, Almas for NTSC-U port)
04641520 XXXXXXXX
04641524 YYYYYYYY

Setting both to equal works in the same way as a gravity modifier (but skims a few lines). Otherwise, X->"upwards gravity", Y->"downwards gravity". Did you say you found some kind of variable that stores sideways movement?

I think upwards gravity should be slightly increased:
1.05: 3F866666
1.10: 3F8CCCCD
1.15: 3F933333

Downwards gravity merits a larger boost:
1.25: 3FA00000
1.30: 3FA66666
1.35: 3FACCCCD

Yes, the default is 3F800000.
Also use this to calculate lower/higher values. What this code does is change the gravity for upward/downwards. It affects fallspeed (downward) and jump height (upward) so, be careful what you set them to. Try out any values but, it is recommended to leave upwards at default (3F800000) and downward to start off at 1.25. But, it's all up to what you guys ultimately decide upon. THIS IS better than the gravity modifiers though so try it out and see what you guys think.

Right now the plan is to not touch gravity. I don't know that it needs it yet, and it really affects heavy characters more than others.

The ONLY thing the code effects (if you don't edit upwards gravity, which is what gimps heavier characters) are vertical kills (but, it's only a slight nerf if you use 1.25 downwards gravity, downwards being fallspeed). But, yeah, I guess it'd be better to go without it for now.

We'd like to keep hosting these if there's popularity enough to do so. If we do, we'll continue to tweak codes as we go to find what works best for the competitive community.

As for venue, Prime has been extraordinarily lazy (even for a Ship member!) and has edited NOTHING into the first post. The venue is actually at Prime's house:

55136 Lori Lane
Mishawaka, IN 46545

Show up as early as 10am to help set up, tournament will begin at 11. If anyone can bring folding chairs/tables, please do so! There may be a lot of setups on the floor.

A few of us may be coming to this. Depends, due to I am actually moving the 4th. It would be nice to get one last nice tourney in before I move to Iowa though.

Anyway... a few questions though.

What is the expected number of people for this?
If I come, I can bring my Wii with Brawl+ on it. But will we all sync up codes before hand so we are all making sure we are running the same Brawl+?

Expected turnout is in the low 20s. Don't expect anything huge :D

We'll provide the codes, so if you can bring your Brawl+ Wii that'd be super!!

Whoa, somehow I totally didn't process that AC posted. Can't wait to see you, AC!!

And yeah, I'll have my laptop handy if needed, but we should have a couple of "official" SD cards with preloaded Brawl+ codes as defined above.
