Smash Ace
Being a huge audiophile, I came to this forum searching for what other people had as their custom music for Brawl's stages. I came across several threads that have their own custom music, but I figured that this was a prime opportunity to combine all of them at once and have a comprehensive list of custom music where we combine our ideas to make a Brawl Community Song Pack. The number of threads I've seen already means that a lot of people love having their own custom music, but let's face it, there are simply some songs that just SCREAM Battlefield or is that absolute perfect fit for Final Destination (To provide an example, because of SmashTournoi, everyone associates this song: Tsuna Awakes for Smashville and European Smash. Do I think this warrants its own thread when you have everyone making individual threads with their own custom music, personally I think yes, mainly because as I said before, there are songs out there that are just more suited to a particular stage and some other songs you just have there for the sake of it.
I am very well aware that tastes in music differ from one person to another, but my purpose is to be able to provide a full Community Song pack that the general playerbase will love- many have made individual packs, but never before have people joined forces for the sake of loving music.
In my efforts to make this as community-driven as possible, I will provide the links to the major Custom Music and BRSTM threads in case that anyone has a "OMG this song would be awesome for X stage" but has no idea how to actually make Brawl music of his/her own:

Guide: How to Make your own BRSTMS
Here's how the format is going to go: We are going to make official nominations for specific stages using the following criteria:
Your opinion on the stage: Looking at the particular stage, what does it make you think of? If the stage were completely silent, what kind of theme do you think fits the stage the best? A fast theme? A slow theme? One filled with shredding guitar riffs? Or is the stage surely lacking without a full orchestra behind it?
Official Nominations: You place your nominations here, along with a Youtube video to provide some sort of audio presentation.
Why you think the song should be here: Give your reason why you think the song should be a part of this pack. You want to have passion behind these songs. If you don't want to put in the effort to give us a detailed reason, then you certainly don't like it enough for us to give it a serious consideration.
Once we have official reasons and all, we'll put the official nominations to a vote, where we pick the number of songs the stage allows. I am undecided as to whether to reduce nominations to one stage to reduce all the clutter or to leave nominations open to all stages so that we can further streamline the process.
Even only using competitive stages, we have 86 songs to select. That's certainly a lot of music, but there are more than enough soundtracks to provide the music for this list. Therefore, I am proposing these rules:
No more than one song per specific game/album in the pack: I respect that people have their taste in games and such, but I provide this challenge as a way to expand beyond the traditional soundtracks and find the rare gems that aren't listened to that much.
Try to limit the amount of songs by a particular game series per stage: As much as we love Final Fantasy music/Touhou music, etc, we don't need to inundate a stage with it. For stages like Frigate or Pokemon Stadium, it would make sense to have multiple Metroid/Pokemon themes on there, but other games can provide the same type of sound without being from the same series.
How many songs you can officially nominate for a stage is limited by how many songs are on the stage list: 1 song for any stage with 1-4 songs, 2 songs for any stage with 5-6 songs, and 3 for 8-12 songs: Basically this is to prevent people from nominating entire lists of songs and then having everyone just vote for themselves, because then it will just be a deadlock and nothing gets accomplished.
You can unofficially nominate any number of songs for a stage, but in order for them to count as official nominations, another poster has to add their vote for support: This goes with the first rule, just in case someone really thinks that they have more awesome songs than they can officially nominate. In that case, his/her opinion will be known, and it will be up to the rest of us whether to include it in the poll or not.
Official Nominations have begun!
This is it! This is where you send in your nominations for the music you feel should belong in the Community Custom Music Pack. Please follow the rules and guidelines or else your song will not count as an option on the poll unless the people working on this project agree to allow the song to be on there.
Nominations are open for YOSHI'S ISLAND (BRAWL). There are 4 songs that can go on this list (the looping for Obstacle course is too cumbersome to make a good custom song for), so you can only have one official nomination on the poll. You can suggest as many as you like, though, so don't be shy to give lots of suggestions!
You can continue nominating songs for the previous stages if you missed out on nominating a song.
