I still really want to see Conker make it in! Even if I don't think his chances are too likely this time around, I'd love to see a Mii Costume or spirit, just some acknowledgement that this character has a history with Nintendo!

First Banjo (Nuts & Bolts) then Conker (Young Conker), and now of course the Battletoads get to know what it’s like to have your legacy smashed into a thousand pieces, thanks to Microsoft.
Comparing Nuts and Bolts to the other 2 is pretty unfair. Young Conker is an abomination, and Battletoads wound up being developed by people who fundamentally didn't understand what made a Battletoads game.

N&B was a flawed but good game. Its only issue was that it was presented as the series long-awaited return. If it had been a spinoff to a series with consistent releases it would have been very well received.

He ya'll! Today I just completed Conker's Bad Fur Day for the first time, and I loved this game. The humor made me burst out laughing numerous times, the graphics honestly looks closer to a PS2 game than it does an N64 game, and the story was pretty dark, especially towards the end of the game. I did find this game challenging in quite a few sections, and I have died to Heinrich more times than I'd like to admit, but I had an absolutely fun time with this game, through and through.

If you ask me, I still do have to say I prefer Banjo over Conker, because nothing beats how satisying it is to collect a Jiggy, and I personally didn't like the sudden transition from a platformer to a shooter in Conker, and I personally prefer the gameplay in Banjo over Conker, but I don't think Conker is too far behind Banjo in terms of overall enjoyment, and now that I finally completed this game, I would love to see Conker join the battle in Smash! I think Conker would be a bit hard to incorporate given how I doubt he will p*** and get drunk as part of his moveset, but I think Sakurai could make something work for him!

With Microsoft purchasing Bethesda, the who vs who Microsoft rep debate is going to get more heated now. Not only Conker has Chief, Steve, and Battletoads as competition now but also Doom Slayer and Fall Out Boy as well. Yes, Fall Out Boy is a Mii costume, but he could potentially become playable in a future Smash.

Does anyone else find it funny that Conker now is alongside a killer of literal Nazis?

If anything that only makes things less complicated, since everyone is under the same roof. No need to have attention divided between multiple companies if just one owns all their stuff. Just gotta need enough fans agreeing about a specific character and it's golden.

BJ Blackowicz is most likely right out though, for obvious reasons.

This is actually an interesting detail.
Conker and Banjo both get the same kind of ambitious promotion, even when they have no games planned to announce, while others such as the Battletoads got almost nothing to promote their recent game.

Perhaps there’s still a Smash invitation reserved for Conker on this Pass.

I used to be really, really into seeing Conker join Smash, and I still am, but I can't tell if the second Fighter's Pass is his time to shine. Conker is right up there in my top 3 dream picks alongside Geno and Porky. I'd be glad to see any of them make it in, but I think I'd be most hyped for Conker.

I know this alternative is never ideal for supporters of a character, but I really wouldn't mind a Mii Costume or Spirit if he doesn't get in this time around. At least some acknowledge would be really nice, especially in a game like Ultimate. Sakurai has stated that he doesn't believe an ambitious crossover like Ultimate will ever happen again, so having Conker in there somewhere would, to me, cement his legacy in gaming history.

At the end of the day, it's upsetting that Conker's future is completely up in the air. Chris Seavor is no longer attached to Conker since Rare owns the rights, and it doesn't seem like they'll be giving him a proper game any time soon. At the very least, I'm glad Rare has been open to collaborations for merchandising with First4Figures and Fangamer. I hope that one day, Banjo-Kazooie and Conker can be brought back properly.

At this stage, the best thing to do is campaign for him to show up in Smash. It may take years, but it'll be more effective than waiting around for something to happen when Rare is clearly busy living out their pirate and spiritual fantasies.

Conker barges in!

Conker has an extremely low chance of getting into Smash Bros. Ultimate. And though I personally have no expectations for him getting a DLC spot, it's fun to hope and speculate, right? Conker's Bad Fur Day is one of my favorite games, so it was a lot of fun implementing refrences to the game in Smash. In this thread I will predict the moveset, taunts, stage layout and alternate costumes of this infamous red squirrel!
Who the hell is Conker?
Conker the squirrel is a beloved RARE character that made his first apperance as a selectable character in Diddy Kong Racing. He was presented as a cute, innocent kid squirrel in his first own game Conker's Pocket Tales, but a few years later all that was about to change. The cult classic Conker's Bad Fur Day was a limit breaking and never before seen game when it first came out. The seemingly cartoonish and kid friendly game featured cursing, bloody violence, alcohol and endless pop culture refrences. This grown up-Conker was lustful and greedy, and would often drink himself senseless. The game is incredibly funny with its well timed jokes and selfawareness.

Moveset

First of all, the fact that Smash Bros. is a family friendly game for good boys and girls of many different ages, sadly means that we can't feature any blood, alcohol, pissing, puking or cursing. Second of all, this is just my personal pics so if you have any better ideas I would gladly read them! Third of all, I'm not going to cover moves like tilt, jab, getup-attack and aerials, since they most likely will be simple attacks using his fists/tail. Overall, I want his personality to really show in smash. Everything from his eyes rolling around in his skull when getting knocked on the ground, to dodging like Neo from Matrix. He can also have A LOT of idle animations, just like in bad fur day.

Neutral Special - Slingshot

Conker pulls out his slingshot seen in both Pocket Tales and Bad Fur Day, firing fast, low-damaging conkers at a horizontally angle. Uncharged it will function like villager's forwardair with longer range. By holding down the button longer it will be gradually more fast and powerful, kinda like Diddy Kongs Peanut gun. Fully charged it will become a "fire conker", doing decent damage and knockback. While charging he can still move and jump, but not turn around.

Side Special - Mr. Barrel

Conker starts riding on top of Mr. Barrel grounding any opponents he runs across, just like Inklings paintroller. He can jump off the barrel anytime, making it bounce instead of roll. While bouncing it doesen't ground opponents anymore, but takes some damage with knockback instead. There can only be one barrel onscreen at a time.

Down Special - Anvil

This one functions basicly exactly like Kirby's down B. Conker turns himself into an anvil and slams into the ground, dealing huge amounts of damage. The difference from Kirby is that this move is more powerful, but after Conker hits the ground he will stand there being dizzy for a moment. So if you miss your opponent you can easily get punished!

Up Special - Helicopter Tail

Conker spins his tail quickly in the air like a helicopter. His recovery isn't that good in terms of vertical movement; it gives him an extra jump before sowly descending downwards with good horizontal options. It functions simular to Peach/Daisy's up B, but Conker's jump is shorter and more diagonal.

Forward throw

Conker throws the opponent forward, pulls out a cortoony shotgun and fires at them. Good finisher

Back throw

Conker spins around an throws like Mario/Banjo, as a refernece to the fight with the xenomorph.

Up throw

Conker throws his opponent a little upwards, before slicing them with a katana.

Down throw

Conker lights a dynamite stick and gives it to the opponent who lies on the ground, then he faces away and puts his fingers in his ears. The explosion does some good damage.

Forward Smash

Conker smacks opponents using his trusty frying pan. It has a fair amount of startup lag, but when it hits it's an excellent and satisfying finisher killing at early percents!

Up Smash

Conker pulls out a flamethrower, spewing flames back and forth above his head. It has very long range upwards, but leaves him vulnerable on ground.

Down Smash

He pulls out a chainsaw and uses his own body weight to spin around with it near the ground. It deals quite a lot of damage, but doesen't launch very far.

Final Smash

Conker jumps in his Atomic suit from the final boss in Bad Fur Day, and does the attack combo with uppercut. He then throws the opponent out into space!

Up taunt

Conker crosses his arms, steps with one foot and looks angrily into the camera!

Side taunt

Conker looks at his pocket watch.

Down taunt

Conker sits down and plays with his yellow gameboy.

Victory Poses

#1: Conker does the classic dollar sign-eye rolling and holds up a wad of cash while smiling.
#2: Conker gets picked up by Berri, who kisses him. He's happy with it.
#3: Conker sits in his throne staring sinisterly right into the camera, while sipping from a glass of milk.

Stage - Poo Mountain

The fight with the Great Mighty Poo is really memorable. That's why the inside of Poo Mountain gets into Smash! The stage consists of Three main platforms; one big in the middle and two smaller on each side of the screen with walkoffs. I recreated the stage layout in Paint, so you get the basic idea:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jZigcgmxNE_MGN0tkxyuvQ4dO4lanjtE/view?usp=sharing

From time to time, the great Poo himself will show up and throw giant balls of feces that descends between the platforms. They deal some damage.

Alternate costumes

#1: Conker with his blue hoodie.
#2: Conker wearing a crown
#3: Conker with war uniform and helmet
#4: Conker with caveman-clothes
#5: Neo Conker
#6 Classic Conker with the blue and yellow singlet
#7: Conker wearing his Live & Reloaded clothes (green shorts)
#8: Conker wearing the Van Helsing-clothes from Live & reloaded

Thank you so much for reading my Smash prediction! If you have any better ideas be sure to write them down below, the final Smash for example has a lot of creative potential. It is really sad that we cant include mature themes, imagine how funny a drunk squirrel pissing and puking all over the place would've been in Super Smash bros.

Oh, ok. I'm pretty new to this website so I'm not sure how everything works
It's okay; I just figured I should clear it up in case you wonder why your thread's in a different spot.

Extremely unlikely, but Conker would be a game changing reveal. The Conker games are so well made and ahead of its time, the games have a sort of mythical status to them. I'm intrigued by what his moveset would be. Add me to support.

Oh speaking of which, me and a friend of mine drew a concept of how Conker’s reveal trailer could end a while ago. Sorry if I forgot to show it here, my bad.

Basically I did the first half of it and he did the second.
Since I personally wasn’t too satisfied with my friend’s part on the original fan-art, I decided to recolour it myself and add in a new background that fits Conker’s style better.

Here it is:

Hopefully this actually gets to be a reality one day. It’s really not “Everyone is Here” without Conker in the roster, and I’m pretty sure all these Rareware icons would agree with me on that.

I think Conker will make into Smash someday, but not into Ultimate. I think Rare isn't going to be getting a 2nd rep for Ultimate as Microsoft will focus on more popular and iconic characters from their other properties like Master Chief and Doom Slayer. I mean, we already got Steve recently and Banjo & Kazooie last year so I don't see us getting another Microsoft rep and if we do I believe it will be Master Chief because of him being the Xbox mascot. Yeah, Banjo and Steve got in before him but I think he's very likely for this game especially if we get a 3rd Microsoft rep which isn't impossible. I mean, Microsoft is one of the biggest corporations on the planet so seeing them triple dip wouldn't be a shocker due to just their name alone.

Keep this close, I’m not sure what Microsoft’s cooking up and while this probably doesn’t mean anything, the eyes on that weird silhouetted creature do resemble the ones of a certain squirrel a bit.

I was a bit surprised by that too.
But yeah I think the eyes are the only thing that's reminiscent of Conker, the rest not that much. If it's actually a teaser for a new Conker game then honestly I'm really not interested, specially when seeing how Conker kept losing more and more of its original charm each time the IP was brought back by Microsoft, and also how atrocious that recent Battletoads game was, which really doesn't give me any hope for the future of classic Rareware IPs anyway.

I wonder tho. How would you go about a Bad Fur Day sequel? I can see it making it sense, but it needs to be done right.

Heads up! This basically confirms that Conker was planned to be a trophy in Melee:

It really does say a lot when Conker was planned to have some representation in one of the earliest entries in the Super Smash Brothers series. It also reinforces the theory that he (along with Banjo-Kazooie), would have been a newcomer in Brawl (or at most, Smash 4).

Maybe not Conker, but Banjo would have been in Brawl or Smash Wii U/3DS and Conker, we'd just be getting in Ultimate. Both characters wouldn't debut as newcomers in one Smash game because they are special cases. Conker would have def came one instalment later after Banjo.

They should just try to recreate Conker's Other Bad Fur Day as they had the plot, maps, and characters all written down even though the game never went into development phrase.

In a timeline like that, Ultimate seems far too late for an all-star like Conker tbh, but then again I guess you could say the same about Little Mac only getting the spot in Smash 4. Still I don’t see anything that outright says both Banjo and Conker couldn’t come in Brawl.
Like BK, Conker was already oftenly included among major Nintendo icons for promotional stuff, even when he only had Pocket Tales. After he became popular with Bad Fur Day, Conker was gonna get a sequel for the GameCube or the Wii, which would maintain his relevance, so with Brawl being the entry that tried to include every major Nintendo all-star who missed the mark in Melee (like Wario and Olimar), yeah I do think he’d very likely be added in that entry. The most I could assume is that due to time restraints, he could just be left in the considered category and later become a playable character in Smash 4, but that’s as far as I’d go.

You think they could get away with a Great Mighty Poo stage in an E rated game? You don't have to have him cursing or anything (and if you use the song you could censor it out) but would just having poo everywhere be too much?

Kinda. Everyone would get it due to the squishy sounds they would create. You can easily have Conker's stage be the overworld or the Gargoyle bridge. The gargoyle would even be a better stage hazard.

The great mighty poo's theme can be an amazing remix theme for Conker's stage tho.

I mean I don’t think Nintendo or any of the 3rd party companies would be too ok seeing their characters waddling around on poo or getting hit by balls of feces lol. However I do think the Great Mighty Poo being a spirit and perhaps even a stage cameo is a strong possibility since the Smash series is no stranger to toilet humor and gross out content.

as for the Sloprano track, I think it will most likely only be an instrumental version, but if they don’t mind censoring the original version then I’m all in for that.

Happy 20th birthday to Conker’s Bad Fur Day. Love every memory I have with this masterpiece (yes, even with the Surf Punks), and I hope one day there’ll also be lots of memories of playing Conker in Smash and fry pan or maybe even chainsaw the heck out of your opponents.

Conker's specials:

Neutral special: Frying Pan swing/Context Sensitive special.

The Frying pan swing does to opponents what it does to the blocks of cheese in CBFD. It makes opponents fall down. The Context Sensitive special could be one of over a dozen different specials, but you can only do them when a light bulb appears above Conker's head and you have to be in the right situation to do each special like in CBFD.

Side special: Slingshot.

Tilt the control stick up or down before firing to adjust where the shot from the slingshot will go.

Up special: Monk Gobling.

Conker summons a Monk Gobling who will use his stone tablet to fling Conker into the air. This move does not leave Conker in a helpless state.

Down special: Guns.

Conker uses his two submachine guns to fire in both directions. You can walk while shooting but Conker will always aim both guns in the direction he walks in.

Jumps: 2 (his 2nd jump is the funny helicoptery tail thing so press and hold the jump button on the 2nd jump to make him slowly float down, after a few seconds, he's start falling at normal speed).

Run speed: About the same as Diddy Kong's.

Jump speed: About the same as Diddy Kong's.

Fall speed: About the same as Diddy Kong's.

Can crawl? Yes. He does his army style crawl.

Can wall jump? No.

His design is based on Bad Fur Day and he's a little taller than Diddy Kong like in Diddy Kong Racing.

Entrance: The giant skeleton hand drops him onto the stage.

Neutral attack: A punch from his right hand, press A right afterwards to punch with his left hand too, this is a two hit combo.

Forward tilt: Conker swings his frying pan.

Up tilt: Swinging his frying pan over his head.

Down tilt: Sweeping his leg across the ground in front of him.

Dash attack: Conker leaps forward and swings his frying pan just before he lands on his feet.

Neutral air: Swinging the frying pan and then automatically swinging it at opponents behind him.

Forward air: Swinging the frying pan like a hammer (this move has a meteor effect).

Up air: Swinging the frying pan over his head.

Back air: Spinning his tail (this attack propels him forward).

Down air: Landing on the ground really fast, damaging any opponents in the way just like in Pocket Tales.

Side Smash: Conker swings his chain saw horizontally at opponents in front of him.

Up Smash: Conker spins on the tip of his tail like in Pocket Tales and tunnels underground, but he only stays underground for a split second and then quickly resurfaces. When this is used on platforms, he'll tunnel through them but still damage the opponent underneath him if there is an opponent underneath him.

Down Smash: Conker swings his chain saw downward in front of him.

Neutral special: Frying pan swing/Context Sensitive special. Conker uses his frying pan to to do to opponents what he does to the blocks of cheese in CBFD. He knocks opponents down and this leaves them in a helpless state for one second. He also has a wide variety of different context sensitive specials but he only do them when a lightbulb appears above his head and he has to be in the right situation to use a certain context sensitive special. For one example, if Conker stands next to a ledge while an opponent is trying to recover, his neutral special will become throwing rolls of toilet paper at the opponent that's trying to recover. Each roll of toilet paper does great damage and has good launch power.

Side special: Slingshot. Conker uses his Slingshot to shoot conker acorns at opponents. Tilt the control stick up or down before he fires it to aim the acorn diagonally upward or downward.

Up special: Conker summons the Monk Gobling to use his stone tablet to fling him up into the air. This move does not leave Conker in a helpless state).

Down special: Guns. Conker will put on his army helmet and use his two submachine guns to fire in both directions. You can walk while shooting, but Conker will aim both guns in the direction he walks in.

Grab: Using his hands.

Pummel: Holding the victim with one hand and punching the victim with the other hand.

Final Smash: Tank. Conker summons a tank and the tank is driven by his friend named Rodent. The tank drives around the stage while shooting opponents, but after about 8 seconds the tank disappears.

Victory screen 1: Conker chases a wad of cash and then catches it.

Victory screen 2: Conker cuts the screen down the middle with his chain saw (this is how the end of the match transitions to his victory screen).

Victory screen 3: Conker breaks the fourth wall and tells the players that he's thirsty and wishes he had some beer.
