Hey Plank or someone else that knows about MLG and stuff:

I bought my ticket when they first came out, and got a confirmation email saying they'd been bought. I haven't checked that email address since. Just today, I tried to sign on, but I forgot my password, and since it's an email account I'm forgetting the password of, they can't email it to me. I just wanted to make sure they didn't like send me a code or paper I needed to print out and bring with me to the tourney.

I would help out but I only have one pass... I think i could sell my team pass because I can't find anyone to team with, although I probably could easily find someone to team with at the venue.

My friends and I were all buying passes late last night and we bought the last 3, but there are 5 of us coming from Rochester, NY... if anyone has a pass to sell I'd love to get ahold of it, since we already have hotel arrangements made, etc. Please PM/AIM (dopetastic is my SN). Thanks so much.

Oh yeah, and I'd like to pick up someone's team ticket if available, or offer my services as a teammate if anyone needs someone. If you want some evidence of my skill here's a video of me playing vs. G-Reg last weekend. I played alright, but I was honestly really nervous and the result was me losing stock stupidly.

I just don't understand how people can NOT buy passes when they had over a month to get it -.- I understand some people had reasons, but if it's just pure laziness...shame.

I had a reason to not buy passes...

Because I BELIEVED that a TEAM ARLINGTON run event would have a friendly gamer based attitude, and wouldn't require entry into tournaments to come and play smash with people you chill with, and new people you want to get to chill with.

If this rule is being enforced, kiss my set ups good bye. I'll just drop off Maine and go home.

It's completely ridiculous for me to say "Change the rule or you lose two set ups!" and expect that to matter, because it doens't.

Still, I'm making a stand.

*POUND* was about a sorta brother-hood, and cool atmosphere, and MD/VA goodness that was sex-tacular, and I assumed that it would be the same at pound 2, just extending countrywide, bringing everyone together and having a great time.

I guess you know what they say about what happens when you assume, though.

****, have fun Maine. I'll still drive ya'll, but screw this. Something changed, and I'm not going to be a part of it.

(**** I can afford this, and I did have plenty of time, but I was never coming for the tournament. I was coming for the people.)

Why would you assume that? the first post has been perfectly clear about the rules since day one that you needed to buy a pass to participate; if you are a failure at reading, it's your own fault

You have to understand that there are apparently space restrictions, and you can't have a bunch of people milling around and occupying setups when there's already barely enough space to run a tournament as is

I think registration should have ended friday afternoon/evening, but that's just me.

The reason (one of the reasons) registration closes early is because it takes time to make pools for 200 people in order to sperate them by region and crew and make sure nobody gets shafted. I don't envy raftbuilder. Also even if registration had stayed open later, singles were already sold out before registration closed.

This has nothing to do with money or being friendly, it's about fire codes. The building has a maximum capacity of 225. There are 200 people signed up for singles, and probably a few signed up for doubles that aren't doing singles. On top of that there are a few people coming to help run things that aren't entering. That puts you mighty close to the limit. I'm sure if Plank could fit 500 people playing friendlies he would be all for it, but it just isn't practical or legal in this situation. I don't think pound 1 even had 100 entrants, space was not a concern.

So if you didn't buy a singles or doubles pass, does that mean you can't enter the venue to play friendlies at ALL? Also, is there a roster I can see that shows everyone who bought passes? I'm curious who is attending.

FONZ WILL MAKE **** FUN.

Some people will go and ahvea good time. That's TA.

But now you can't come to an event and just have fun.

Honestly, it is what it is! Doesn't really matter.

I just think it's pretty disrespectful to whine like this when he's been clear about the rules all along and has legitimate (law-backed) reasons for the rules

of course pound 1 and 2 are different; pound2 is mlg sponsored with double the people... why you would just "assume" you can waltz in and do whatever you want instead of taking 2 minutes to read the rules and figure out that you need to buy a pass is beyond me

No worries PockyD, I know NKK wanted to just come see some good smash, play a few friendlies and have a good time. Originally it looked like he'd be able to but with it completely sold out it's just not possible. I'm glad he's still helping out by housing Maine, and I don't blame him for not wanting to bring his TVs, heck I wouldn't wanna bring mine to a tournament I couldn't play friendlies at, even if there is a good reason. That's a long way to travel when you're already helping a ton.

Because I have been to MD/VA tournies.

If you waltz in with a tv, with people standing around waiting for extra set ups... It works out fine.

That's how it is, even with 30-40 people at random *** smash fests.

You celar off your own tv when people come, and you're cool with it. And everyone clears off when you got to leave.

I assume because I know what tournies are like here, so just because you've got a conformity rock shoved up your *** doesn't mean **** for your knowledge of me going to tournaments around here.

I also have HEARD what MLG tournies are like. No friendlies, lots of wait time, and **** if it's going to be THAT I'm sorta glad to stay home.

I don't likely care what YOU think at all.

I care about what Hova, Plank, Travis, Newb, Fonz, Aho, kasier, KMEEZY, and everyone else whose really fun to hang out with says about it.

**** that's why I'm not to worried about it. I'm not happy with it, but if Jon is enforcing the rule I'm not gunna come and crowd everything up.

I'm not going to drop off my set ups when I drop off Maine though.

That's an opinion I care about, because I know and respect that dude.

Im also looking for a ticket. If someone wants to sell one I'd be willing to pay a little extra to get one. Or if someone had a teams pass you could drop your partner and team with the best falcon ever :3 and ill pay the 30 if your partner cant make it or what not.

50 bux for the singles

Quick question. If NKK brings setups, that the same as payin the venue fee, so he should be able to play as many friendlies as he wants.

i cant make my sig smaller. im a noob

So, everyone ignored my last question...So let me try again. Do you HAVE to have a doubles or singles pass in order to even enter the venue and play friendlies? Geos didn't buy one, so can he not play at all?

Sorry to say, but that is correct. You have to be registered for at least 1 event to participate for space reasons.

Azen + singles pass?

Uhhh, if Azen wants the single pass/actually is attending Pound, the sooner the better on confirmation because Jon has to make pools that are fair/biased and putting Azen in definitely alters things......

So, Chu/Azen will one of you either PM/Msg me on AIM (pyshcicnerd147) to confirm that he will buy my singles pass? Everyone selling/buying passes is already ****ing Jon over in creation of pools (sorry lol), with a 2 day advance it will help.
