Baby-faced Alfie, who is 13 but looks more like eight, became a father four days ago when his girlfriend Chantelle Steadman gave birth to 7lb 3oz Maisie Roxanne.

No dude, THAT'S hideous. Forced abortions, especially coat-hanger abortions, are brutal and a gross violation of human rights.

While it's obvious that they shouldn't be having unprotected sex, nobody has the right to force them to have an abortion.

In Brittan?

While it's idiotic at this age, stage 3 nations, aka developed nations are characterized by extreme drops in birth rates.

For example, in the US, if it weren't for immigrants, and their practices, our growth rate would be negative, not positive. Brittan has about a 4th of our population growth rate, and less then a third less of a net migration rate, so I very strongly suspect their story is the same.


There's no advantage in having kids anyone so we're fast approaching the point where maintaining population is going to be a tremendous chore. If the entire world becomes stage 3, they'll be no source of population immigration and our growth for he world will be negative.

For reference, to maintain a population, not including immigration, each women has to have an average of 2.3 children. UK is 1.6...

Stage 1: Pre-industrial nation (think medieval Europe): High birth rate and death rate due to lack of medical care and significant advantages for large families in farming and caring for you in old age.

Stage 2: Developing industrial nation (think US 1900s): High birth rate and relatively low death rate due to advances in medical care. Still needs kids for old age, plus social inertia and generally lax child labor laws and lack of need for post-education (which is expensive) results in population explosioh compared to stage 1.

Stage 3: Developed Nation (think current US): Sharply declining birth rate and death rate, medicinal advances result in few deaths and social inventions such as pensions and social security remove the need for large families in old age to care for their parents. Children become incredibly expensive (especially because of need for post-education). Children become a luxury, and this overall results in a graying population. Japan with it's negative population growth rate (it heavily discourages immigration) and steadily aging population especially illustrates this.


So we need MORE kids in developed nations, and less in developing nations. As this becomes a bigger problem expect governments to implement policies that encourage kids.

I never suggested that. I merely took issue with the idea that people in Brittan in general need to have LESS kids. Brittan needs to have a stable population so when immigration is no longer saving it, it won't implode.



As for my scaling, this is a different type of scaling, it just relates to stages of population growth, and when changes in societal needs causes major shifts in how birth and/or death rates, resulting in major shifts in population growth.

Yeah, in the meta-analysis or different types of population analysis there are plenty of other ways to classify the stage of a country. But since I'm only concerned with population growth rates I chose the scale which conveys the information I wanted without drowning people in minutia. Plus that scale measures exactly what I was talking about, unlike having to derive population growth rates.

That post was long enough anyway, I had no desire to toss a more complex scale in then necessary to explain what I was trying to.

No actually it's not hard for a boy of 12/13 to get condoms at all in Britain. Walk into chemist, take condom of shelf, buy, ????, profit. Go to sex clinic, ask for free condoms, get free condoms of the right size (XS in this tyke's case), ????, profit.

Safe sex is encouraged rather than unsafe sex. Think about it, if they wanna do it, they're gonna do it. So, at least make sure that no complications like this occur. The main problem with condoms are perhaps some urban legends about a girl getting a condom stuck in her and it killing her ROFL.
