While people may fight seriously in money matches, it is no way organized.
Oh wow, ADHD came in first in all 8 NJ tournaments, he is ranked 1 oh wait, Inui money matched 85 people last night, new rankings is now Inui and then ADHD. Money matches are fine but shouldn't there be a limit on how much money matches each person can do a season or something. I just don't think it is to organized. Because Goku went through tourney to beat Piccolo and earned the rights to face him instead of goku losing to krillin in tourney then demands to money match the world champ AKA, taking a huge shortcut.
Other communities have money matches right? Well, other communities you can pick RYU, these are different games first off. A lot more crap can happen in brawl than another fighting game, SD, Counter pick stages and flip ups and flop downs, otehr fighting games are more cut dry and have more of a tech based gameplay that if mastered, the majority of the matches should come out the same.
I don't want to fly to Cali to money match a whole bunch of people the night before rankings, just to surpass Zucco while he sleeps but attended all tournies? Is that fair at all? Money matches should have some type of rules, maybe the people you money match have to be in your state to count for NJ rankings? Have to be 10 dollars? Have to be someone from a previous ranking? top 2 money matches count?
So if I beat M2K, ADHD, ZUCCO, moose head, rat man 94, burgerking, Kai then you can't use all those against me to rank ahead of me, just pick the top 2? I don't know, I am not saying money matches or bad but just in my opinion it is not fair to people who can't money match 80 people in another country to surpass you. If Money matches are more organized then more people might like it. Just a thought. Agree or disagree, don't call me names! Or I will find you.
