The semantics of the Nintendo "major update" are suspicious. I have allowed myself to believe that it means we will be getting a major update because of the surrounding factors in the last month or so related to Brawl and Nintendo announcements in general, but that statement by no means guarantees big new information:

"A major update is on the way to the official Super Smash Bros. Brawl website. "

"An update to the official website" if you cut the extranneous words. That could mean that the update pertains to the layout of the site and not necessarily a major content update. It is by no means a guarantee because it is structurally and rhetorically ambiguous.

For people who hadn't the chance to take a look. I live near Montréal and the website says I have to wait for an additional 40 minutes before it's midnight the 22th of May in Japan.
