Bueno mi gente, es domingo a las 10:30pm y por fin llegue a mi casa. Estoy demasiado cansado para hacer un post largo. Pero algo es seguro, este fue el mejor torneo que se ah dado en PR. Felicidades a todos, estos meses de hablar mucha mierda eh insultar la gente funcionaron lo mas bien, todos estaban jugando cabron. Sobre los matches, se que grabaron muchos matches, pero ningun VHS llego a misd manos, yo me habia comprometido en ponerlos en 2-3 dias, pero no tengo nada. Al finalizar el torneo cuando muchos de ustedes se habian ido, fui al carro y saque el premio sorpresa que tenia, los planes originales era darselo a la persona que se tirara la pendeja mas hija de puta en el torneo, pero con tanta gente no se pudo tener una persona de confianza viendo los matches, asi que quede de regalarlo en Sacaelpollo, cuando sepa exactamente que voy a hacer para regalarlo les dejare saber. Plans for the next tournament

This is nothing official and it hasn't even formed as concrete thing. But I would like that for the next tournament we have Crew Battles. I want people posting their Crews a max of 5 people per Crew. Depending on how many Crews we get it will determine how it will be run , date, how many hours it will take etc. The more Crews the better. We can have Crew Battles ( group of friends) + National Crew Battles ( East Side, West Side, North, and South) competing as well.

Like I said before this tournament will depend on how many Crews are posted or are willing to participate. If there are insufficient Crews then it will likely not happen or if people don't support this. So if the community of smash of PR is interested speak your Crews.

P.S Take your time to form the Crews. Post if you are interested with your Crew and name.

El torneo estuvo hostil y ha sido el mejor me gusto demasiado. Tengo q felicitar a varias personas.

Blazing: Mano de veras q estas jugando hostil y tu link esta bellaco good friendlys matches. quiero mas.

ATH: Nunca he jugado contra ti pero debo admitir q estabas jugando super bn y muy safe.

Hawk: Jugando bn tu Fox a mejorado pero pues mi Roy te gano better luck next time pero congrats has mejorado mucho.

Kamahl: Tambien has mejorado me gustaron los matches. Evita usar downsmash.

Jandro: no pude jugar contigo pero no te preocupes next time

No se si deje a alguien perdonen si se me olvido alguno de ustedes, la pase super bn la experiencia fue muy buena quiero q se repita. Lo unico fue q no pude Jugar contra nadie de team Ragnarok lo cual fue la razon primaria por venir al torneo. Esta vez quede 9no pero pues hubieron personas que se dedicaron mucho asi ke los felicito a todos y mala suerte q me toco contra Eval y despues Jorge.

HDL soy tu stalker en los internets y te busce, me di cuenta que ya tenias las Finals de singles en Youtube, asi que los puse en Sacaelpollo, espero que no te moleste.

Kinda late but what the hell.

First of all congrats to HDL and BLAZING on teams and to the top 5 players in singles.

First of all hardly got any sleep llevaba dos dias sin dormir y lo unico q dormi
fue 3 horas antes del tourney porque me amaneci hablando con kAMA so I was
very tired pero..I think that helped since it's better to ne tired than wired...lol

Anyways..
When I arrived empeze a buscar a casi to el mundo pa saludarlos later como no hiba
a jugar en teams empeze a jugar friendlies.

KAR: me sorprendio como jugabas pal poco tiempo q llevas jugando advanced creo q ni un mes.
Anyways keep it up.

KAMA:too bad you had to go against MIZU so early,still you had nice matches.
Also no te vi sacando al ness broken tuyo.

DSL:Nice ranking for your first tourney.Also tuvimos pal de friendlies tu falco esta broken.

ZERO:we had some nice friendlies.You have improved a lot since the las time I played you,you have a solid fox.

HAWK:although we only had one match it was fun but you had to go emo at the end.

Overall the tournament was awesome I really apreciate everyone that worked hard to make it happen.Everyone seemed to be a bit closer than the last tournament and that was the best thing since it makes the comunity more fun.Anyways espero que se repita.

Well the event was organized great and people had a fun time. Nice turnout and more setups than expected arrived. There’s still the issue of people not understanding the rules (GJ caught people playing on Peach’s Castle, after the rules had already been posted online and then again reviewed at the event). I even noticed that someone changed the stock number to 5 after it had been explained very clearly that people are not to change the settings. Anyway, some mentions:

Uriel - Good job considering you were sick. Drop by sometime so we can work on your issues.

Max - We need to talk, you were very emo on Saturday.

Eval - I know some ways to really boost your Peach. Will notify you on that later.

ATH - Playing Samus a bit more correctly now. Aggressiveness backfires.

Gilbert - You’re always really cool to hang out with, and you’re playing a bit more safer lately too.

GJ - Rolling makes you invincible!

Blazing - Goes to show you how cooperation counts more than familiarization. First time teaming together wasn’t that bad.

Pope - Same as Uriel, minus the sick part.

Joe% - As Eddy said, your game looks like an upside down metroid. lol @ looking for victims.

Damian - The man, like always.

The rest - Fun stuff. Hope to see you at the next event.

Note: Regarding all the excitement over the placings of certain people, please take a look at the brackets and check the opponents they faced. Remember, it’s not only what place you got, but also the people you had to face. Some people may get easier brackets than others, which is why consistency in tournament results is what matters most (not just one single tournament). We’ll see how people do next time.

A newb's take on RUM & smash 3

I had a great time at the tournament. It was a three hour drive but it was worth it. I met some pretty cool people, especially Eddy, me and my friend had a blast with him.

Gameplay wise I wasn't expecting to win, but rather to see the level of competition here in P.R. to judge how me and my friends stack up. I was eliminated rather quickly, but overall at was fun as hell. I saw HDL for the first time, and to be honest, I thought you were gonna be black. I told that to Eddy and my friend and I think they laughed their butts off. I also saw Pope's IC's, and man was I impressed; that 0 to death CG combo was insane. I also liked his desync, I've never seen one like that. I had a match with B4k4 as well; man thats a crazy Fox. He shined me from one end of battlefield to the other. Props on your illusions on the edge BTW, I had heard that was hard as hell, but you made it look like child's play.

When my turn in the tournament finally came up, I was tense; I didn't know what to expect. My first match was against Evil....it was a massacre. His mindgames got to me so effectively, that I couldn't think of anyway to counter attack. He used his Fox on me first, and three stocked me like it was nothing. Then he switched it up to link, and we had our secend match at dreamland 64. I swear, he knew that stage like the back of his hand. Like I said before, I couldn't think of any way to counter attack. In the end he two stocked me, but I put up a fight during my last life. I think he got me to 256% before he finally KO'ed me.

Next up came USI or TKTO, I cant really say which because I dont know which one is the guy. I beat his Fox, but he changed to Marth and slaughtered me. I played a gamble by picking falco, but in the end my skills were no match, and I ended up losing the match and getting eliminated from the tournament.

After that we left mayaguez and headed home. The upside to getting eliminated early was that I got home pretty early, considering it was three hour drive back. Overall I loved the experience and I hope to play some of you guys more often now so I can get better and maybe kick *** come next tournament.

cool, so you were the peach, you got a nice peach, and I was TKTO. you have a good falco, but you have to be more fast and spam more and stuff, even with peach. we had good fights, you beat my fox very easy, but you didnt stand a chance agaisnt my marth, buahahahahaha!!!, nah, just kidding, no puedo decir ni la mas minima cosa si no la cogen con uno. anyways, keep it up, juegas bien.

Como todos han dicho el torneo estuvo **bron, brutal!!!!!!
Llegue temprano y rapido empeze a jugar friendlies. Primero jugue contra Gioma y su Green Shiek.
Luego de eso empezaron a llegar mucha gente y comenzaron los revolus de friendlies. voy a decir de los que me acuerdo, si se me olvidan algunos mala mia es que habian un **jon de personas!

Pope- Malditos ICs!!!!!! Nunca yo habia peliado contra ice climbers yo no sabia que hacer!!! Pero me ayudaste a practicar contra ellos! Sabes que si no me hubiese suicidado en yoshis story te ganaba Jugue contra el amigo tuyo tambien(era amigo tuyo verdad? el de la camisa roja que se usaba al Doc) esas peleas estuvieron cool.

Los de camiseta azul- Team ragnarok right? Estuvo cool jugar contra ustedes especialmente el que se uso a roy fue un tripeo! El chamaquito esta incluido tambien estaria nitido que a temprana edad aprendiera a jugar bien brutal y raspe pelas.

Karura- USI!! Por que tuvo que ser la primera pelea entre nosotros? Sea la madre tu shiek! Me comia todos tus Dsmashes! Jajajajajaja el final en mute city!!! si, fue un blaster, parece que precionaste para abajo, el laser te dio y te caiste. lol Fue tan rapido y gracioso!

Good- no se su nombre ni tampoco se si esta aqui pero por si acaso los friendlies estuvieron nitidos con tu Young link Warrior!

Los otros- Hay unos cuantos de ustedes que de seguro jugue pero no se quienes eran, ni les pregunte mala mia. Y hay otros que no tuve chance de jugar espero que para la proxima se pueda.
oh, verdad hay que felicitar a todos ( no solo a los que ganaron) pero si en especial a los que ganaron por destacarse!

Espero se haga un RUM&SMASH 4 muy pronto, pero esta vez me gustaria estar en un grupo donde hayan personas que me puedan ayudar, diciendome mis errores, lo que debo mejorar y sobre todo variedad en los personajes que peleo por que si no, me va a pasar lo mismo que me paso con POPE y Xhtythx.

Tambien necesito ayuda en eso de counterpickin los stages Necesito saber que stage es ventajoso pa quien y cual no!!!

Flaco - Si no estas en P.R. mejor espera a llegar, tranquilizate, cojelo con calma, y en tu casa empiezas la planificacion. Montar un torneo no es asi de facil, aveces uno dice "ah, quiero que sea "x" dia, a "x" hora y termine a "x" hora", pero deberias primero averiguar si te dejan montar un torneo en ese sitio, no te llenes de tantas ilusiones hasta que sepas.

Segundo, no quieras planearlo todo de un cantazo. Primero por lo primero. Averiguate como es el sitio donde lo quieres hacer, si tienes el dinero para pagarlo(si es que no te lo dan gratis), cuantos tv's, game cubes and stuff necesitas, laptops, blablabla.

Estas ahi desde hace tiempito diciendo "Ah quiero hacer un torneo! Ah cuando llegue a P.R. hare un torneo!! Ah sera "x" dia! Empieza a las 1 y acabara a las 9!", pero nah, busca informacion del lugar ese primero(si es que no la tienes), espera a llegar y cojelo con calma. o_O

Y hasle caso a Aeon, el torneo deberia empezar mas tempranito.. Son los que empiezan a las 12 y hay que hacerlos rapido para que den tiempo...

Hay un ataque en tu Falco, que he visto que los Fox's cercanos a mi lo usaban aveces en media batalla, pero despues se dieron cuenta que debian dejar de usarlo asi, y creo que mientras vayas jugando con gente te vas a ir dando cuenta de lo que es y lo dejaras de usar de esa manera tambien...

Tournament, even thought it's near...

Hhmm... Flaco, Karura's right.
Planning a tournament isn't simply just stating hours and events, there's a lot more to it. Be sure to ask other users from this thread for opinions, you'll be needing "setups"(gc+tv), a good place that can hold about 50-80 persons, a place that doens't have insects flying around, maybe some security, since you never know and work with other users to plan this tournament correctly.

Some Facts: (Hey! I know my $hit!)
-Most of the tourneys here start at 12-1pm, leaving the rest of the morning for inscriptions and friendlies.
-Ending time isn't really that easy, it all depends on how smooth the tourney goes.
-Things would be good with around 8-12 or more setups, of course, most people here are friendly enough to bring their own setups, so you won't need to buy 2 or 3 setups.
-A laptop is needed, for Tournament maker, it'll help with the brackets and such.
-We use the MLG ruleset, so I doubt that you'll come up with other specific rules.

Well, I can't really speak much about it, note that I haven't been involved in tournament making, then again, I know some of the stuff needed to work with one, but not all of them.
