    As somebody from Britain, I can say that if Nintendo wanted a Smash pick to appeal to Bri'ish audiences, (like Terry does to Latinos, Banjo does to yanks, and everyone else does for Japan) Crash Bandicoot is the ideal choice - though some kind of microcomputer rep (be it a fighter, stage, whatever) would also draw a lot of attention here too.

    I don't think British people really care that much if some random character made in another country just so happens to be British. Professor Layton was big for a while, but most people I know skipped the plot just to get to the puzzles

    I feel like most of the publicity is on chris chan and what she did recently, and so there's really unfortunately not much attention on kiwi farms. But yeah, I do hope it gets shut down, kiwi farms is probably the worst collection of human beings online, someone needs to get that **** offfline.

    I miss CN's prime years in the early 2010s. Regular Show, Gumball, Adventure Time, you name it. Now it's all reboots and garbage mostly aimed only towards small children. Thankfully there was still one good CN show that was prime material before getting abruptly canceled this year. Please watch Infinity Train if you haven't. It's one of the best shows I've watched in a long time.

    TBT, while the renaissance had a lot of good shows, my favoured CN era will always be the late 90s-early 2000s Cartoon Cartoon Fridays era - not my childhood (I was more CN City), just the one I feel had the best shows.

    I remember some stuff from the early-mid 2000s. OG Teen Titans is a standout, along with the classic Ben 10 continuity and Pokémon which is what I always watched on Saturdays. Also remember shows like Courage, Flapjack, Chowder, and Ed Edd & Eddy though I didn't really watch them.

    I like how the Shantae Mii costume doesn't have a male model. I feel that was either mandated by WayForward (the existence of a "WayForward boob mandate" would not be even remotely surprising), or Namco knew what people were going to do with it.

    I was looking on Shared Content and saw a stage titled "stop posting 18+!" - not surprising on its own, you get a ton of those - but for some reason the person who posted it seemingly spent hours perfecting a detailed monochrome anime girl with a single ice tear coming out her eye as she pretends to smile - I mean, I don't like the booba stuff either but that's a bit of a dire overreaction, ey?

    I just wrote a self-insert fanfiction about me creating Smash Bros. and getting screwed over by Nintendo corporate, then going to a bunch of other companies with the concept and also getting screwed over by them.

    Is this a sign of mental issues? Should I or my family be worried?

    IMO SwSh isn't Sonic 06 bad, but it isn't anywhere near a high point for the series either - a solid attempt given the circumstances (budget being spent on Post Malone concerts, yearly deadlines, corporate mandates, a general lack of interest in Pokémon within Game Freak, first true HD game after working with underpowered handheld hardware for 2 decades) but they can do better. A lot of the criticisms are justifiable - especially when it comes to story writing, PR, and business models - but tend to get drowned out by asinine complaints about low poly trees, reused animations, and the National Dex.

    Bundling older titles with newer releases, like in SADX and most non-maze Pac-Man games, should've become game industry standard a long time ago - though I disagree with the prospect of making them unlockable.

    The negative impact McDonald's deals have had on outside media is immense,
    • McDonald's got Sonic 3 split in two
    • McDonald's censored Batman Returns and prevented Tim Burton from working with the IP in future
    • McDonald's got Camp Lazlo cancelled
    • McDonald's is supposedly responsible for sexing up Lola Bunny
    There are probably tons of other examples of this sorta thing I don't know about.

    A lot of my most wanted Smash fighters you could never do the heart emoji "let X fans be happy!" thing with because they literally do not have fanbases. If you try to tweet "let Mole Mania fans be happy! 💞💞💞" you'd be written off as insane by even the most toxic optimists and devoted Mole Maniacs.

    In hindsight I really don't understand why 1-year-ago me brought the Min Min DLC. At least with Byleth I can say I got suckered by capitalism and take a little less of the blame, buying Minjamin Minjamin was 100% on me.
