Hey guys. Do you know how in the Mario game series, there are "super mushrooms" the titular character, Mario, consumes as a powerup? What if instead, these were actually drugs? I've been thinking about how a new Smash game would affect Ultimate. It's biggest claim to fame is that it has all the characters, so what will it be when there are characters it doesn't have? Some people already see Wii U/3DS as "pointless" games as they see Ultimate as being just that game but "better". I feel like recent Smash games aren't really trying to "be" anything beyond "the latest Smash game", it all just feels default.
