In all seriousness though, I think this is the first Nintendo Direct where I felt I had genuinely wasted my time. Like, there's some cool stuff for general Nintendo fans (Tears of the Kingdom, Pikmin 4, etc.), but there was absolutely nothing here that made me pop off. If a Direct announcement today thrilled you, more power to you - I'm glad you enjoyed something that I couldn't, and I genuinely mean that. Honestly, though, I think this Direct's been one of the worst in recent memory.

Unlikely Characters for Smash be like:

Why They're Extremely Unlikely Nowadays
- They don't fight in their source (despite characters such as ROB and WFT existing)
- They aren't known in Japan (nevermind the fact that a bunch of characters not super recognizable in certain markets got in)
- [ something completely subjective which isn't an actual reason for a character being unlikely, such as bringing "unfunny memes" to the game ]
The Only Redeeming Quality
- They would have a potential moveset. However, it would still not make them likely whatsoever.

(not saying you can't think characters are unlikely just don't have a flimsy reason for it)

Waluigi is simultaneously the character I love making Smash movesets for and the one I hate making Smash movesets for.

Waluigi has a plethora of source material to work with, and even ignoring that, his trickster/unpredictable persona gives him a lot of potential for mix-ups and unorthadox attacks if you wanna get creative. That said, Waluigi's core identity isn't as stable as most of the other Mario cast members', so it's hard to decide what exactly to focus on. Tennis? Sports as a whole? Kart racing? Parties? There's so much you could do with Waluigi, it's really hard to be sure where to start.
