  • Oh, that was a good one lol.

You should've posted in there after you changed it to confuse everyone.
hax was grabbing eggm's fat rolls/boobs

    eggm flipped

and threw hax 10 feet onto a table that broke and gave hax a concussion

eggm said, "i guess i didnt know my own strength" rofl
I figured I'd finish this discussion before I looked at the videos, but now it's late lol.

I've been working on cutting out combo video clips from pound 4 and rom2 since we've started talking as well.
Saying that I am "amazing at smash" and then telling me that I couldn't expand my own metagame/style in Brawl is sort of contradictory, isn't it?

The "silly goose" part also leads me to believe that at least some of your posts here are sarcastic, to a degree.
I don't know why this bothers you so much.....

I worked to expand my own style in both games. You have to do this once you have the basics down anyways. In Melee, the places where I could expand were more obvious to me. In fact, I could only see where I could expand my potential in Melee and not Brawl. I am seriously not making up excuses or trying to hate on you or Brawl here. This is the truth.

    XD
I'm not saying it's a wrong way to view it, but it just seems negative towards me(I couldn't expand my own metagame[brawl] rather than work with what is there[melee], which is false btw, if that is how you view it).

I don't need to be buttered up lol.
I learned loads from just playing Twitch every day, and I actually still do when I go home. Brawl is no different.

If I had had more exposure to strategies, and I was better at figuring out Brawl, sooner, then I would have been fine. That didn't happen though.
I did most of the work in my head. If the character isn't intuitive to me, then it's hard for me to learn them since I can't play with others to learn sometimes.
A lot of it I "know," but was based on adaptation, better conditioning, which is a trait I somewhat fail at, especially in Brawl.

I only played Brawl as long as I did because of Marth. I'm also bad with everyone else.
Meta Knight being safe, Fox being campy, Snake's Ftilt/shield options, smart pressure vs DDD.

Then there's unchanging mixups(I feel like I only have a few good approaches and they don't work much anymore), badly executed or no frame traps, difficulty punishing the opponent when an opportunity is presented and effective edgeguarding.
I see the games the same way(which is why I'm good at both), but only to a point(which is why I'm worse at Brawl). There are things in Brawl that I doubt I will be able to ever/consistently beat. In Melee, I understand my flaws and my opponent's abilities and know how to make the most of that knowledge. Even back at TO4 I was stumbling along slowly towards improvement in Melee, whereas I felt stuck in brawl.
I wanted to learn, but I couldn't. I don't know why you believe otherwise. Everyone reaches their limit at different times and mine was reached by the time I went to TO4(mostly).
I don't think I would have been a famous Brawl player. I was never really anything special at it.
I'm not saying they wouldn't have noticed, but I do think that significantly less people would have cared then than the number of Brawl people who care now/when I quit Brawl.

Technically, I was able to beat LoZR at that point. At least, I think I was(in the TO4 video I did).
It's an interesting thought. I doubt I would be missed if things were reversed though. No one really cared if I quit Melee at that time except Twitch.

I don't think I'm saying what I want to say correctly, but I hope you don't take that the wrong way.
Maybe, but I'm really not interested in that anymore.

On a related note, I have thought about what it's like to play Brawl(new or old) with some of the crap it gets and I'm sorry. You're a bro for sticking to it.
I think your Peach is easily your best character though. You could have a good/better Peach if you let me help you/you wanted it badly enough.
    yeah
on the last page of that "mk shouldn't be banned" thread
he's just in their flaming people and bein an all around ***
    nu uh
i'd argue that the interference from people riding pigs and explosive barrels prevent cg's from going beyond the first 1 or 2 so well that everyone would drop falco, pika, ic's, w/e other bs cheap *** cg character and play bowser in the wake of my awesome ddd : P
i'd be fine with bridge only matches
    back to ddd : )

so they ended up calling circle planking "scrooging"
    lol, i like that
but yeah, there really is a pretty fine line between stalling and playing defensively for the most part. maybe more people get like adhd and just **** mk till he bleeds. then we wouldn't be having this conversation.
I was making money off of 2 games though, and if I really needed the money(which I don't), then I could hazard a Brawl entry.
Next year things will be different though, I'm sure.
