Same in CA, minus the learners permit - so long as your 16+ you can get your provisional liscence (which you need for 1 year to get your liscence)

I understand where your parents are coming at though... my Dad wouldn't let me drive without a friend in some areas even down here, and its not that bad. (Like the "ghetto" of Long Beach)

My Dad takes me to tourneys every other weekend now... although... not having a wii is sort of impacting my gameplay >_> .... I mean... I messed up my ICCG's on MK.... 5 times... that was enough to win the match >.<

Yeah, most of them aren't coming back. They just brought up another thing - since Link's metagame is at AiB, any new Link player will eventually figure out that in order to get better, thats the place to go to.
Oh well, I guess it's a lost cause.

I can understand that. I just don't see why they have to exclusively stay at AiB... I mean, I'm trying to post at both. They really don't know home much they're needed here.

I've already sent him the message. If anything, you'll get your tier list, but it won't be like before. I was thinking of away around the Buzz loophole, how he can close any thread he wants. If we made the tier list double as a useful concept, it'd have to be allowed. "The Link Boards Tier List & Self-Improvement Center."

I can probably only get one of those done. And even if that happens, Buzz might come in and close the tier list. I actually have an idea. It'd be best if we merged the tier list with another idea, like a matchup discussion.
You know, so it has a purpose, and can't be closed. I'll still work on those conditions for you guys. In the mean time, see if anyone else would come back if I got this stuff done. I'm not saying leave AiB forever. Just... end the tension between SWF and AiB Links.
Oh yeah. About Bunny, she was already being considered being demodded because she was a notable spammer in OTL, which mods usually get diplomatic immunity to. They let it slide.
She gave our some exclusive information, I don't know what, that can only be discussed in the SS with other mods.
Then again, he could always change his attitude. I mean, he really does need some of you guys back. Coolest mod has to be Levitas, though. If Havokk behaved a little like him...
Oh well. Link finally did get a mod. Even if you aren't happy with him, he's doing his best to run a once great forum. Some of his policies seem pretty unfair, I'll give you that. It's your call on whether to come back. I mean, it's not like it could hurt. If you get infracted, it's not like it matters. You guys ARE done with SWF.
He gets along with people that obey the rules. I'm considered a spammer by people that first meet me due to my... you know, overwhelming post count. I only joined in December, and almost have 4,000. So I'm beyond careful when it comes to avoiding infractions. Also, keep in mind Havokk is new to the job, and if he breaks any mod rules, they'll demod him, much like Kawaii Bunny.
If you give him 2 weeks, I can almost guarantee he'll lighten up. I've been talking to him a bit and he's actually pretty lenient. Give him partial credit, he's only been here for what, 4 days? He's just a little uptight, and serious about these forums.
No problem. Granted that it's common knowledge, I can almost guarantee you the next gens wouldn't already know this. There's not a lot you can confirm through memory, and with my Link experience, the results surprised me. I still like having a thread so I can go back and work on how I place my arrows in regular matches.
The guy hasn't been as bad as Buzz, I can tell you that. He's only infracted one person, that Shiek main. And that was for censor dodging in Swedish.
Did you actually read my arrow thread? I already put a disclaimer saying that we know it's useless information. I mean, it's good to at least have a list to go by. Have it in writing, you know?
We've already went over this, we're aware that we're not doing anything important. Lol, it's just there to be a list. It is pretty funny, but I think Havokk's just trying to live up to mod expectations.

Oh, absolutely. If it were the other way around, I'd probably go to AiB. I just hate the format for it all. Like I said, I'll lurk AiB Link boards, and post here.

Oh, absolutely. It's really a shame that this had to happened, and I really can't say I approve of what Buzz did. There's probably more to the story that I don't know about.
I hope you guys prosper on AiB, there's actually a lot of gossip going on, I've noticed.
Err... that was a monster of a story. AiB sounds pretty cool, but just doesn't seem like my kind of site. I can see why you guys would flock there, I'd be all for that idea if I had been around when this happened.
Have you seen these next gen. Links? They're obviously confused, and I know Havokk could kill them if I wasn't here. Thanks for sharing the story with me, though.

Honestly, I'd love to just have both of the communities as a whole. Now, I actually do agree with some policies Havokk has, and from what I've seen, there was no personal bias when infractions were given out. If you wanna tell me the story, feel free to message my AiB account. Same name, 'Straked'. Although I never use the account, if you send the message, I'll probably sign on to see it.
I'm just fine with the Link boards now, I don't want to see SWF Link activity be virtually non-existant. And I'm positive AiB Links won't apreciate me because you guys already have enough activity. Just message me the story, if you'd like.
It's fairly dead. I might as well help out, since Link's one of my favorite secondaries.

lol with a lot of mods you're absolutely right. but from what i've seen Havokk hasn't been really acting that way, he wants to revive these boards and he wants help. i even posted a "spam" post in a thread and it resulted in

I think Buzz is unfair because of all the crap he did but i think Havokk at least is more of a fair mod from what i've seen. he's definitely not an infraction happy power abusing **** like some of the other mods here.
i know what you're saying. and yes they can be biased which is why i was hesitating in the first place. there are things that i don't agree with too. and from what i've seen the mods really haven't been doing anything except for Havokk. but i still thought it would be good to help since people like Buzz don't really seem to care at all about the Link boards.
sorry i know we shouldn't but it's helping the metagame and Havokk asked me to help so yes i am.
i'll still be on AiB but i feel that we should still help with these boards. -
