Norcal/Bay Area/DBR:NorCal Nevers: Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.

Is there a place where up to date information about these Nevers happen? Almost impossible to know without following the entire thread =[.

    chaingrab

I'm actually not sure how strong the Fthrow is in terms of knockback. I regularly use it in my grab game/combo game, so I'm sure it gets weakened through repeated use. I do recall throwing people off the screen with Bthrow, but never with Fthrow. Maybe Fthrow can, but I just don't save it...

    Weekly Character Discussion: Link

As much as I've tried to practice it, I sometimes still throw it down and blow myself up in the face =[.

    chaingrab

I would agree heavily with Kupo's input on Pit's use of throws. I pay attention to the patterns I have used in the past, and try to mix it up after a few uses to keep my opponent off balanced. Some people i mmediately airdodge after flying upwards, while some people don't. Paying close...

    Pit reflects WoI?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this is one of those things that I would say people should try not to waste their time learning, and instead practice their more useful ATs! I mean, think of all the other much better alternatives. Fair, bair, dair would have hit him. Arrows could rack...

    TreynThOt(Link) matches

These games show that Falco got pissed by Marth's chaingrabs in Melee, and came back with chaingrab fcking vengeance in Brawl. That chaingrab-> dair over edge combo is pretty much the most annoyig thing ever; looks even easier than Marth's chaingrab-> tipper! Trevyn, I still see the old...

FYI Pits: Learn these AT's!! Please read

Again, the point is that your time and energy is better spent on things you naturally have a talent for and are better at, and things that provide higher returns on your investment in time. By aiming to be best at everything, you end up being mediocre on what you would have been fantastic at...

FYI Pits: Learn these AT's!! Please read

I would respectfully disagree with your post, Kupo. Since you bring up some school stuff, I'll bring up some things I've learned through a human resource consulting company: It's a common thing for people to have heard and learned the idea of being a well-rounded person. But the research...

    Weekly Character Discussion: Link

Quote for truth. I've been playing a lot of Link's online and in some tourneys (yes, online maeks things weird, but bear with me), and they use ATs so much more than I do. Yet in Link dittos, I almost always win because I try to read the player a lot more and play to the person rather than...

    Finishing Blow

Wow, I had totally misread your post. I thought you had said f-smash. Link's Fair in Melee was a lot stronger first hit, a lot weaker second hit. The second hit of the Fair in Brawl is definitely very useful and powerful. My apologies Goron.

    Probaly Old News

I don't think I've seen this detailed in this forum yet. Can you explain the button inputs? And of course, a video would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Finishing Blow

Are you crazy? The second slash in Melee was a pure monster. If anything, it is slightly weaker in Brawl. The second slash was basically as powerful as the Dair, and sent the character flying straight up. In Brawl, it's about a 45 degree angle, and it doesn't kill as reliably as you'd think...

    Amazing projectile based Link

I've collected his vids against ROB for people to find easier. My comments of him are below. Link vs. Rob 1 http://youtube.com/watch?v=pb4jWvXInGM&feature=related Link vs. Rob 2 http://youtube.com/watch?v=-QIdIicTr_s&feature=related Link vs. Rob 3...

    Link problem

Link's up-B recovery is slightly worse than in Melee, but not by much. The real gimping that came to Link's recovery came to his hookshot recovery. Because it is now a "tether" recovery, shortened severely, it is a pretty terrible recovery option. In Melee, it could hit the side of a stage...

How does link fair against pit and meta?

Metro Knight, you really need to do more research on Pit before you continue talking about Link vs. Pit. Read the Pit forum, play Pit, go to tournaments. Watch this video of sagemoon against a Toon Link, and tell me that you think that gliding recovery/attack is not that hard to hit...
