When playing developer's times in racing games fo you think the developer's actually race the tracks or do they hire some guy to do it and then the developer takes the credit, because I doubt that the creators themselves would be masters of their own game when the meta is basically nonexistent

I had this weird dream where Nintendo randomly did a video on the development of Mario Kart to coincide with the final Booster Course Pass, they said that one of the tracks they had in mind for Mario Kart Tour was a track based off the salt flats of Utah where all those land speed records took place, but they cut it since they couldn't think of a good name to go with Utah, and it was like the most epic thing ever with some of the craziest speeds I ever saw in a race track. Now I want it, but of course it needs a good name, does anyone have a name in mind.

Hot take on the Super Mario Kart tracks, the layouts are good, even great, Nintendo just refuses to experiment with the graphics and aesthetic to make them on par with the other tracks, Bowser Castle 3 in Tour proves that you can update a SNES track to be on par with the base tracks

Is it weird that Bowser Jr. never got his own track and/or battle arena themed around him, while it could encroach onto the Bowser's Castle I feel like Jr could be distinct enough from his dad and make a potential hood classic. Personally I would love it if the track is named Junior Junction and it is modeled after Dracula and Frankenstein era haunted castles with a mad scientist lab, would that sound like a cool course concept?

I am conflicted guys, on one hand, I am craving to try my hand at a traditional Mario Kart creation thread, but I don't want the thread to die for some reason or another, I don't know how ill stand it out from typical Mario Kart in terms of gimmicks, the closest being each track has an opposite day and night variant of sorts to replace mirror mode like in Mario Part 6, but that's it. Should I just create the thread and see if its a success?

Does anyone legitimately play mirror mode in Mario Kart, seeing gameplay of the arcade games made me feel like mirror mode doesn't really... do much. I would much rather drive through a remixed version of an old course than play the same course but flipped, the only exception where mirror mode is added to a course that also changes it enough to make it more unique is, in my opinion, N64 Toad's Turnpike which have you drive against the traffic in mirror mode rather than drive with traffic, which is a legitimately cool change that changes how you play the track. What do you think of this statement?
