    Pony thread got minorly out of hand, Jungle locked the thread without warning and without (as far as I know) infracting those that actually went off topic/spamming/etc. Lock was supposed to be short, just so that we could cool off and get reminded to not stray from topic again. But Xiivi comes in and says it's locked for a week with increasing repercussions.

    See but that's the thing. The thread is poorly modded. No one really keeps track of it. If someone sees something they don't like when they randomly decide to check, they assume we've been ****ing around the whole time. The thread is no more off-topic than any other general discussion thread. It just moves at a much quicker pace. On top of that, it's pretty much the only thread I've seen where the mods choose to punish all of the frequent visitors by closing the entire thread, rather than actually punishing individuals.

    I believe the issue is that the thread is intended to be a discussion of the My Little Pony series; not a general discussion thread.

    General discussion of My Little Pony. It gets no more off topic than others of its kind. And even then, those are handled appropriately, with individuals, not with the entire thread.

    And even then, the modding of it is so poor, it invites the off-topic nature.

    It's like, okay, this isn't a discussion thread for the show anymore, it's a social topic. And yes, it's for discussing the show and such, not becoming a social topic. There are social groups and actual social topics throughout the boards. If it wasn't a7x, then it was fall out boy puns, if it wasn't that, it was scooby snacks. When the thread has been locked before, that is a warning to not let it happen again.

    I went through the past 24-hours; the majority of posts are not actually discussing the show and just becoming more of a social topic.

    Also in regards to nose touching/tons of one-liners it's not much different than everyone going "high-five!" a billion times in a row. Which does fall under social topic categorization.

    The reason it's extended is because the topic has been locked before.

    As much as i'd like to even now, School is starting Wednesday for me and i'm already up to my neck doing a large assignment for a summer reading deal they're making us do. I don't think i would have enough time to read it :(

    Believe me, i definitely want to read it. School has now taken away my schedule for the year tho. Sorry :cry:

    Oh no, as much as i'd love to read your fic now, i am the absolute worst at critiquing things. I just can't seem to really give anything a harsh review. It's just something i'm not good at ^^' I just enjoy stuff and dislike other stuff. I'm like, the farthest thing from analytical.

    Half the time i can't even put my thoughts and opinions into words (not because they're oh-so awesome or anything, just because i'm not exactly sure what i think of something)
