So, this afternoon I think momentarily on nomenclature. For example, Marie (pronounced mar-ee-aye) is a nice Japanese girl name but who knew that Mario could also be a girl name? NGL it made me envision

そして, みっつ - So I was working at the polls yesterday (and last month) and we get some first-time voters. All my co-workers give a round of applause to them. I cringed somewhat and thought to myself, "They must act like they graduated college or high school. They are first-time voters, ****!"

Less than 12 hours before I have to get to work at the polls. I have been a poll officer since 1983. and I was often the greeter or exit clerk. I initially applied for this kind of work in late 1978 but never heard back from them, and besides, I had a big physics project to work on back then.
