    I'm flying in and a lot of other MI people are as well, so we'd have to find someone with a car and with extra room in their car to give us a ride, to and from the venue, each day. I don't think it's worth the trouble right now. Thanks for the invite though, really hope to play you guys.

    To my knowledge, that isn't true and it's uniform throughout, but I'm only like 90% sure, so I'll double check with a couple people before I give an answer.

    tl;dr - they could have easily catered to everyone, and not even had to make MK-specific rules, but they purposely did it to get their own goal of having an excuse to ban MK later on. I saw this potentially coming years ago, but because I never had enough voting power (since half of them were pro ban and you needed 2/3rds majority to change a vote), I couldn't do anything about it.

    In Europe and Japan rulesets, Mk is far from broken. BBR did a great job making sure MK had the rules he needed to be at his best.

    BBR never cared about making the game better. I was back there for 3 years. They constantly downvoted any ruleset changes that they implied would be better, then, after successfully downvoting any changes I tried to make like lengthened timer, and reduced stages, they then complain how good MK is like that. I'm like, well stop downvoting it (but I realize their true intentions, so I know that won't happen) and they never respond with anything good. But votes were all that mattered, which is why it's such a bad system.

    cuz it seems like if they are the only mk-legal or non-unity events, those are all ill support. I really don't wanna start over with another character this late in the metagame/this late in my life after all ive done with him already

    hey another thing, since most tourneys will be MK banned from now on (that means I'm quitting =/ ) do you think you would still be up for attending a few MK legal ones after apex (I know you hate MK and all but it would be cool)? The only 2 I know right now that will be doing this is Jtails and D1, but it would be great if you could show support =)

    regardless of the attendance of each tourneys I'll unfortunately be on my last days anyway (seriously; MK was kind of my life-investment in past 3 years)

    lol I don't think you're bad, but I'm just not feelin' it. I do wanna play some more though, the teams friendlies at KTAR were fun. Perhaps if we're ever in each others neck of the woods we can team.

    This is also what I wrote: I understand that smaller tournaments use rule sets based off of bigger nationals -- I stand by my statement, I get that smaller tournaments use the example, but it still doesn't mean everyone needs and is "forced" to follow it. I know it's going to be the example but I know plenty of ppl (MLG for example) who didn't like that rule set so they didn't use it. I wasn't implying that no one WILL use it but that there shouldn't be a reason to come into the thread and start ish over a choice (and saying that it wasnt a thought out decision) for a national to use one particular rule set that was the whole point. >_> And also, as long as the unity rule set has the "power" it does, people will most likely still lean toward using that over the Apex rule set. I'm just saying, there are choices in the end.

    lol, how is that statement a cop out, unless I'm holding a knife to someone's throat, they're not being forced to use the rule set, end of story. If you agree with the rule set you use it, otherwise you don't. Alex and co didn't like the unity rule set and thusly they didn't use it. Just because one big tournament is using it, doesn't mean everyone should.

    yea, it was iron man, joe, and someone else. I think Ameratsu. go to Justintv and search xanadugames for the end of the stream. You'll see Unknown lose his game in losers at the very beginning of the recording

    I beat Anti in a Meta-Knight banned tourney. Not exactly anything to brag about there, imo, even if Anti's non-MK characters are really good.

    Anyway, good luck to you too in getting into the BBR.

    LD1 and LD2 are the Lux Desync 1 and Lux Desync 2.

    They are two related grab setup desyncs that I discovered about three months and two weeks ago respectively. They are essentially the most frame ideal setups possible based on desync mechanics.
