well my thread is already up (yasumicon 2009). i just haven't publically post it saying mk banned or not. that's already around 4 mk's... im just worried that if i can freaking place high and get 1st place >>_<

yea i noticed a few people from FL supporting the ban.

wonderbread, me, seibrik, redhalberd, deadweight, dewdadash, yummynbeefy, zelda master timmy, stafu, monk, and you.

But at least a small compromise to being mk banned, might as well allow PT to be played individually (with hacks). or possibly allow him in doubles

The problem is that since you have 1 month before your toruney, you can try to setup a small poll and decide. if there is high demand, go for it.

I ran a smaller tourney back in january and wanted to get mk banned, after left and right *****ing from seibrik despite all the people not wanting him banned, i let it slide and have it not banned, guess wat, seibrik went all mk and owned everyone..... never again i regret to listen to people,

For MK's general bad stages, Yoshi's Island Melee is really the only one that comes to mind. The blast zones are fairly small, he can't really abuse anything and he has like 0 gimping ability on the stage. Onett, Green Hill Zone, and Mario Circuit could be good for similar reasons but they're almost always banned (In fact, so is Yoshi's).

For his worst stages against Dedede, anywhere with a low ceiling like Halberd or larger stages that you can get away from him on like FD.

yea man sounds really good... one guy that I have faith on to be in the PR list is my Partner SheikSSBM, he used to be in Melees list as the 6th best guy in Fl. but he doesnt play melee anymore... and hes insane in Brawl but hes not ready yet to be in the PR list... he just needs more big tourneys to learn the match ups against certain characters here in Naples there isnt much good people, when we went t that playNtrade the only good people where us our own crew lol so he needs more practice against good people to get better... playing us is good too btut he knows us too well so it's not much... I really have faith on him making it to the PR list eventually

tell me wut u want in it.. and wuts the idea your tryng to follow, that way i have a clear understanding of what the flyer is supposed to be about.. (talking tournament theme wise)

ok sounds good and idk myself.. i would assume people might want it a little cheap so $5, $10 and $10 would sound nice but then sometimes people don't mind going for the xtra $5 for singles.. it's just that if you place good then u would want some decent money.. lets say there's 80 people, 4th place would be getting $40 so it doesn't look like much so $20 more makes a difference... i think you should leave it as your planning for now and see what others say about it... in the end if afro and seibrik do come they will most likely get 1st and 2nd so the rest would be for 3rd and 4th lol

and dont worry lol I myself want SWF to grow bigger as well, before it wasn't much and here in Naples there was a ****ty TechLounge that was ran horribly and I went my own way to help this community and on my last tourney I succeeded fairly well reaching roughly 50+ people total... so I'm happy about that and I really want this to get as big if not bigger then mine to show SWF has something to offer like any other places like Orlando and Tallahassee

lol yea and it's "Seibrik" but anyways I'll contact all those I've come in contact in my run and see if they're up for it... just be patient we have plenty of time ahead, more then a month which is good... so in a couple weeks we should see some more people posting... btw you should create a list in the first post of those that are planning to attend this... that way people know if its worth traveling or not depending on the list... and if u plan on having prizes up to fourth place... more the reason to change the fee to $15 in singles... thats what i think

20 setups should be more then enough for it to run really smooth and keep those not playing or stuck with no ride busy with friendlies and and of course MMs as well... and your right TVs shouldnt be much of a problem since it would be in the school lol

If Co18 will be helping you out with the hype then it should go down really nice... usually when big names start poping in a tourney thread its when it attarcts people.. but sometimes too many good people might scare some with medium skill >.< like in my tourney... i had over 60 people signed up and almost 20 didnt came... i think it was cuz at the last minute Seibrik, Afro, and Chops came in the end after saying they wouldn't... but it should run well and have a good turnout with big names being signed up... it will be fun

you would need at least 40 people to come to mark this tourney successful, 40 is a good number

so it sounds you can fit up to 100 people then... sounds like a really good place to have a tourney... my last one I held had 50+ people and my house isn't really big but I managed somehow... I had 10 setups and I managed to have doubles, singles and crews and it all ended around 11 i think... but damm u want 40 setups lol that's way too much...

my main concerned at my tourney was getting the Tvs, with no Tvs W!!s become useless... and yea you can count on me helping you out with the whole hype thing... I have lots of people I can contact for them to think about going to this, and of course I might be able to bring up to 10 people from Naples alone... or more but I'm not 100% sure it all depends on rides a live stream sounds good, do you have the equipment???

Food sounds good as well, as long as it's cheap, people will be interested.. I've learned to never try to sell your own stuff lol if anything just sodas or Bttls of water >.<

EDIT: btw try to post the thread ASAP since it would be in a little less then a Month... by the end of the week it would only give about 3 weeks of notice... my tourney had a full month and I had over 60 people signed up, I can't imagin how many people it would of gotten with a 2 month notice

ummmm yea it sounds good, I'm not the driver but I think he will be able to pick you up and take you with, so I'll let him know... as long as the car isn't full though... usually we drive a 5 man car which most of the time is full since our crew is always up for the tourneys specially if we go to Gigs... so right it would be a matter of there being room in the car, since Crew has more priority.... a good thing is that I may throw in another tournament but I'm not sure when... so it can be in almost two months from now but in that case then it should work fine since the tourney would be in Naples...

about the DI yea I coiuld teach you when we meet... I dont main DDD and DIing can work different for some characters and depending in what direction your thrown at... i.e. if your going horizontal I belive with DDD your supposed to do a D-air and up analog on the opposite way... something like that, I'm not sure but when we do meet there's a couple good DDD in Naples which could give you a tip for every situation since it varies...

idk I didnt saw the matches... we had to leave and give the spots to someone else since ShekSSBM had to work the next day early shifft.... I do know Co18 came from loosers and beat Reflex which I give Props... but idk how close it was... dunno if the matches got recorded either >.<

sadly it was seibrik >.< I was expecting Reflex to win but ahhh he went as far as getting third... Co18 though got 2nd I believe... it was fun but the place wasn't ran as it used to be... it was really bad and not to mention the seeding was horrible... so I feel bad for those top players that coudn't even get out of pools since they where in a bracket of mainly pros... like a Hell in a cell with only the best XD

Yeah I did have Falcon as one of my dudes, but now he is tournament viable. ^_^ As for Lucas, he is just too much fun. I get a kick out of all the Mindgames you can pull with the Little Guy. You be surprised what a panicy opponent will do when you start looping a PK Thunder around their heads.
