  • Bunch of people in the discord complaining about losing in quicksmash to joker a lot. Like... duh, you don't know the matchup, don't expect a win to be handed to you just because the character is new, besides, Joker is legit looking like he could be one of the best characters in the game. Pending on how he develops, he actually just might be the best. Character seems sort of like a free wins machine but you might as well learn to exploit his disadvantage state while people still don't know what they're doing with him yet.
I'm going to say it before the community does. Joker is the next Beyo. They done goofed. Where do we begin. Invincible recovery.... a tether grab that reaches a stage length, bullets, an Olimar Whistle on crack, bleed damage, extremely fast gun projectile that while dealing no real knockback, racks up stupid damage easily and also has evasion options out of it.... this is only just the tip of the iceberg and I PROMISE you that everyone is going to complain HARD about this character.

MajoraMoon MajoraMoon Bayo's ridiculous amount of advantage, as well as Cloud, were the 2 nails in the coffin for Smash 4. You think the same wont happen again? They waited to do that pitiful excuse of a "nurf" to Bayo until it was too late and the competitive scene started to shrink extremely quick. As we know, the moment the competitive scene starts dying, the moment less units of the switch and smash start selling.

    k. Sorry if that wasn't a good enough response XD I'm just not a competitive guy

I already have a near 4.6 million GSP with the character. His damage output is actually pretty incredible if you are mindful enough to throw his projectile while you're chasing, kind of like how Links throw a boomerang when jumping forward toward the opponent. His hitboxes on his seemingly translucent jab and tilts also beat everything. I was actually hitting Lucinas through her sword. His spike is also huge and edge guarding with him is almost impossible to mess up because of Nair coverage on mid and low while the projectile covers high. There is a lot of ez-pz carry all the bad players stuff this character has, including easy juggles across the stage to a free edge guard. Naptec Naptec
I would really appreciate it if you all could help a fella out with a YouTube Combo Video for Smash Ultimate >< I am trying to get some feedback and see if people like what content I've come up with so far. Here's the video I just uploaded. Feedback very appreciated T^T

Who needs a Gamecube controller and has the adapter to use them? I plan on giving away some of these smashball controllers.

One strength of my Link is my disadvantage state when people try to edge guard me. More often than not, if they miss their edge guard, I'm reverse edge guarding them for it.

Pretty cool. Link really got the tools for that, the reverse up-b is particularly fun to use to counter edgeguards. It's a pretty unique move, it can just sucks your opponent in from one side and send them flying on the opposite side (like an aerial back throw :P), i love it so much. Sometimes, you can even 'scoop them up' while they're patiently waiting for you on the ledge and send them flying to the blastzone (and you can almost hear them: ''What the hell just happened?'' lol).

Never thought about using the d-air spike at the ledge tho, i'll try and practice it in the near future. Do you think ledge trump to d-air would work?
    ~?~
    ~?~
Ledge Trump to Dair doesn't work most the time because the hitbox comes out just a little slow but it is a viable option on large characters like Bowser and DK for example. Drop Ledge Jumps are probably the most consistent way I score Dair.
So I heard that a Robin player took a first place at a large locals for the first time. I told ya'll. It's only a matter of time. Congrats to Jul.
Sephiroth for SmashU ? Tifa? How about Wesker from Resident Evil? I like the sound of these 3.
I am not a heron, I do have a long neck tho. I pick fish off a plate w/ my fork. If you don't repost this comment on 10 other pages, I will walk into your bathroom tonight and make a mess of your toilet. I am not a heron.
I was watching youtube combo videos for Ultimate, and I of course went into the comments only to find out that people are disliking videos not because of the actual content, but because someone was using a character that a person loses to. If you're so bad that it drives you to salt pouring outrage, and you have to unfairly dismantle credibility in the ratings of a content creators video, you should probably play another game.
My friend always speaks out loud whatever he is typing, and whenever he extends vowels or shouts, he makes sure to include it in his writing. He has issues guys..... you know what? I'm his friend, so I have issues.
What is this nonsense? Who did this s***? Was it you? If I have to look at this casuals face as my PFP for one more second, I'm going to switch from Lan cable to wifi and make ALL of you suffer online with limitless lag.
I did it for the people! A dope edge guard highlight video of Link gameplay! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqz0jKZ6YYg
The next video is coming soon, featuring Cloud. So, if you like what you see, Subscribe, click the like button, leave a comment to hype up some Cloud gameplay and tell me what you think. PS: Some of these edge guards are drunken edge guards lol
Help me pick a low tier character as my low tier hero. I main Link as my high tier. Only rule is, no King K Rool or Little Mac.

Based on the Link gameplay video i saw from you a few weeks ago (the one with the crazy offstage edgeguards), i think you'd make a great Sheik.

Actually, Sheik just might be perfect for my Melee style edge guarding. I'm not much of a ledge trapper so it might work out. Her backair is larger than Link's Nair too and she has a sex kick Nair so sounds about right.
To anyone who watched, liked/commented and/or subscribed, I'd like to say I appreciate it ♥ and that it means a lot. Since my first video did better than I thought it would, I feel very encouraged to make more now. If you haven't seen my epic Link combo video of me getting gud, here is the video url: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqz0jKZ6YYg If you have any advice or feedback, I'd really appreciate it >< and if you want a specific character in the next video, let me know!!
I'm the type of guy to open a Bible mid-tournament and start preaching to you about how to avoid a second death. Jesus was a cool dude, even after flipping tables and whipping money changers :3
Is 4.04 million a good gsp to have or bad? I don't play quickplay often and don't really know how GSP works so like, could someone maybe fill me in ? lol
    RealPokeFan11
    RealPokeFan11
That's a huge amount of GSP. Definitely something to be proud of, considering my highest (Palutena) is about 2.3 million. I got her to 3.2 million the other day, but dropped.
I'm new here, pretty shy person joining the competitive community for the sake of making friends and learning how to defeat social anxiety. If I seem weird to you, apologies in advance. Could you do me a favor tho? Could you give me your opinions on my Link? I've only been playing him for 2 weeks, but, here's my progress in a video if you're up to watching it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqz0jKZ6YYg&t=1s

RealPokeFan11 RealPokeFan11 I actually am just now also starting to dabble more with Cloud and intend to do so with other characters. So I'll probably upload more to that youtube pretty soon actually. I already did a two weeks of link video so it's likely Two Weeks of Cloud next and I'm unsure of what after that. Also, by strategy, do you mean throwing it up to catch people going low in strict timing or to absorb the distance Ness' PK Thunder 2?
    RealPokeFan11
    RealPokeFan11
Throwing it up to edgeguard and catch people trying to recover.
    ~?~

RealPokeFan11 RealPokeFan11 is actually a multi coverage option. It covers high, forcing the opponent to go low, then covers mid low, forcing them to jump or face back, which is EZ covered by links neutral air.
I have degenerating bones in my thumbs and wrists, and I play Link, and it's hard on me..... but I want to start competing sooooo bad. I have to learn to cope with the pain of bone rubbing bone. I also need matchup knowledge to compete, considering I'm sort of new to Smash Ultimate and all. Any direction on matchup data that anyone can point out to me, involving link matchups of course?
