As a Zelda main, I feel like she has the tools to deal with most things. I always own my faults, because it has to be something really bad for it to be that way (people who never played Brawl).

Brawler seriously needs a buff in the recovery department...

@Oz I actually mentioned this in the Zelda Buff thread, that Zelda doesn't exactly need buffs. My opinion on Zelda is straight forward. Her tools sort of encourage players to perform really bad habits. So most Zelda's stick to those bad habits because they can work enough to take some games. You'll notice a HUGE difference between Zeldas who do those habits VS Zeldas who got those habits beat out of them. Zelda has some rather interesting tools that are for no reason at all trash talked as if they are inherently bad tools. I always disagreed, that her tools aren't bad, it's how people use them that is bad and it is just in the nature of the character and it takes a HUGE amount of experience with that character to break those habits. It's the same situation with my main, Link. For example, people stand at ledge, throw a boomerang and then pull out a bomb, but me, I pull out a bomb and do a Z drop NAIR to kick them away and then throw the bomb at them for stock while off stage. I got a LOT of backlash from a LOT of Zelda mains in that thread for saying these things, and instead of addressing my arguments, they'd ignore them and act as tho I was actually attacking their personal selves for doing bad habits. By the way Oz, do you have a youtube or anywhere I can see clips of your Zelda play? She was my main when I entered the game, but I ended up switching to Link because he fits my more aggro playstyle better than Zelda does.

I feel you. I feel people have played Zelda too long in a certain way, and they somehow expect it to be better. It's no wonder outsiders still doubt Zelda. She's a lot better now, but people won't see it unless we change our meta up a bit. I was one of the outsiders until I started maining her here, in Ultimate. So I play a little different than others (for better or worse). Stuff like this also reminds me of when I used to main Corrin in Smash 4. People rely too much on a single option (see Pin), and then they wonder why they're not doing any better as well as their character in the tier list.

If you want to see some of my stuff, I have a Youtube channel by the same username:

I only have one match uploaded in Public, but I'll see if I can hook you with some more recent stuff. Doesn't hurt to upload.

Pro tip for viewer growth on youtube. Make your video titles English. Sakky did it and his view count multiplied by 400% in less than a week with organic growth. I'll check out your content some time tonight so you might see a comment from my youtube channel on a video or two of yours.

Those are just the random clips I wanted to upload on Twitter. The matches are just standard, as well as a combo video I have.
