You guys need to chill, like seriously. The argument itself is pretty stupid, no offense. One guy likes to use Kirby, one doesn't. Just leave it at that.

ZSS can escape Falco's early with a downB, Kirby just jumps)...
According to Cake, if the Falco CGs correctly and perfectly, flipjump escape doesn't work. Luckily those Falcos are hard to come by.

I have yet to see how this buffered chaingrab is better...

his dashgrab takes 11 frames

standing grab takes 6 frames

uhh...? from what I can tell I escaped the buffered dashgrab better... anyone wanna explain in better detail how it works?

I thought Falco's CG is more effective walking? Besides, Hence never said there has to be a dash, and Cake was the one who said a Falco who CGs perfectly is inescapable. Get him in this thread lol

I've never seen a situation in which Falco's dashgrab has been more effective than his walking grab. Walking grab gets almost everyone to ~60% before they can finally jump out, and dashing has longer startup (even buffered has a longer startup), meaning people with fast attacks or jumps with appropriate DI (not to mention lower %) can get out of it faster. If the Falco fails by just the right amount of frames, ZSS can get out of his walking CG as early as 20% with her downB thanks to the move's speed at startup (gets out of Falco's grab range quickly)... Kirby just has to DI towards Falco's head and mash the jump button, he's bound to footstool Falco after the 2nd/3rd grab (forgot).

Plus, the fact that not everyone's perfect with Falco, means you won't have much to fear about his CG. And if the CG is inescapable, you lose nothing by mashing downB to try to get out of the CG rather than jump+evade.

I've never been too fond of using Kirby. I kinda suck with him, actually XD

I started seconding Lucas a while ago, without knowing about any of the matchups or anything. My main concern with matchups are Falco, as I'm pretty good against Snake and MK with ZSS.

I don't get that xat thing at all. Isn't there a real time chat thing in a thread for here?

More importantly... why did it name me Babyface as a default?o_O

Isn't there already a secondary discussion thread?

I haven't used Kirby since SSB. It's going to stay that way until he can chain Fsmashes to Dair spiking again.

Kirby takes too much work in this game to just be a secondary.

There wasn't a great place to post this, so I think is is as good a place as any:

One of the things I like to do is post my findings here on SWF regarding the game as a whole and about ZSS. Many of these things are either known, or only slightly modified variations on existing ATs, or experiments baesd on existing ATs that yield no results. Some of you may feel this has bordered on being 'spam;' this is something I'm aware of, for sure. To alleviate this problem I'm using my blog space here at SWF to blab to anyone who will read it. I'll avoid posting anything of this nature here from now on unless it's a large discovery. If this interests you, bookmark it. I'll have new posts coming in a bit.

It'll be fiendishly hard, delving into Samus' past before her bounty hunter career, under the command of Adam Malkovich.

I can't wait.

3/25/2010 is visible in the trailer picture.

3/25 IS MY BIRTHDAY

This is proof of God.

I see ZSS having short hair in the next SSB game. =)

I also see normal Samus being a lot more agile...

Short hair ZSS as an alt, I'd main that.

My theory is that short hair Samus is assigned a mission, meets the long haired scientist at the "Living Bodies Arms Development Lab" and develops some kind of relationship with her. She (scientist) is brutally murdered/taken away/something happens and Samus becomes outraged. After the resolution, she grows her hair long as a tribute.

I'm feeling all giddy about this game alreay.

*watches trailer for the 100th time*

The storyline revolves around her hair length? Be real, I assume something crazy awesome is going to happen. You play through the whole game only to find out that the characters were in another dimension. Nerd rage, anyone?

Nononono, it's a symbol. What I was saying is that something significant between the two is going to happen. Maybe Xyro's "prediction" actually is true.

I was never good at the Metroid games...

In Metroid Prime, I beat the boss that is on Frigate. I couldn't get past that ._.

Though I really enjoyed the 2D metroids (I've only played Zero Mission and Fusion) and I was good at those. All the FPS Metroids, I'm awful at.

Maybe I should give it another shot when this comes out...

I doubt ZSS will be in the next SSB to be honest
I wouldn't be surprised if she was removed, but if they put in doctor styles or something I could forgive it.

Then again the style of play between games has been quite dramatic, very few people kept the same tactics so it will not be really a problem.

Also Xat sucks, IRC rules.

God forbid a chat should be more than just typing in codes and seeing a plain, white, dry window with nothing but text on it. I mean......youtube features, doodle, pictures, backgrounds, colors, sounds, animations....no no no absolutely not.

I lol'd pretty hard. (<3 sasook)

sasook runs Chatzilla, which is a Firefox addon. I dont' think his parental units were cool with him downloading any additional software like mIRC. Admittedly, xat is much "busier" than IRC is... but I don't like it. It's way too fruity. I'm cool with bland.

Yes, I like having my simple all-green text on transparent background. Everytime I get linked to a xat page I click on it and my eyes explode from all the random **** going on.

Haha, I don't mind it. And I honestly don't mind IRC's blandness much either. But what bothers me is all of the annoying-*** coding you have to input/remember, and how you can't bring another window up without having messages fly right under your nose unless someone spells out your full username in it (I like the sound alerts).
