Hm I should try P:M sometime, haha. I was really turned off P:M because of a certain PMBR member that is from Vancouver and the way he treated me. This was... pre P:M 2.0 I believe? My second experience playing P:M was me in a room full of marijuana smoke. While I am not against marijuana itself, I don't want to be breathing the smoke for hours on end and leave smelling the same.

yeh, I'd avoid people like that. I don't think that Zelda is amazingly viable in singles, but she's definitely solid mid tier and significantly more usable than in Brawl and Melee.

I've been shown P:M Zelda and she seems to do some major damage. I remember BJN saying Zelda would be heavily nerfed. Did this happen already?

I'm still going to the tournament this Saturday, but it seems to be Melee only with a low tier side event. I'll be repping the good princess for both events and any potential Brawl/P:M event.

She still does but she needs quite a bit of precision. All of her moves do heavy damage, but she finds problems comboing. If someone gets grabbed though they're dead if you have a Din's Fire floating around since you can just throw them into it and up air them and basically kill them at 50%. lmao

No, but it's basically 100% confirmed that something was/is going on in the PMBR to her.

In January, It was basically a 100% tear down overhaul. That was the main rumor.

Nowadays, it doesn't come up as much, there have been little things of people saying they heard some possible trade-off changes that were straight up terrible, so the Zelda playerbase is on shaky ground. > _ > Who knows if some things that were heard aren't going to come to pass. What was pretty troubling was the comment I heard -- "Most people in the PMBR have stated the want for her to be 'Low-Mid'." So they seriously could be not thinking of balance when it comes to changing her. Of course this is rumor, so... I hope it ain't true.

All these kids are just hopping on the PM bandwagon right now.

Argh, today was bittersweet.

I got knocked out by somebody I have never lost to in the three times we've played (as Peach), but like I promised I went all Zelda. I got 3 stocked game 1, figured something out and won game 2 pretty strongly. Unfortunately, I had the stage disadvantage of the third game which was either going to be at Yoshi's Story or Pokemon Stadium, and I banned the latter. So I kept getting star KO'd at 88% from Fox... it was last stock, last hit (opponent at 96%) and unfortunately Fox is stupidly strong. I didn't ban Yoshi's because I thought I could do more damage with a more compact stage (YS and PS have low ceilings) but Fox's up smash is dumb

I placed 7th out of 25 entrants (5 people per pool, top 2 of each makes it to bracket and I got second seed), and I really turned some heads as a/the only low tier player! If I had gone Peach, I'm fairly sure I would have placed 5th. Regardless, I had a great time! Got 4th of 8 in doubles (as Peach) with a last minute partner who played Fox/Falco! There was no time for a side event and I was way too exhausted from being [laser] camped in every game to do well anyway. Don't know how to deal with Zelda? Play super lame and campy! Those red horizontal lines will give me nightmares for days! >_>

If they ever get around to making a results thread on this site or on FB, I will link to it for sure

Zelda's phantom is an interesting move. It works more like a projectile than a puppet. I wonder if it will last a while and Zelda can combo off it.

General thoughts:
I'm glad gliding's gone; that was OP.
Lol at buffing high tiers like ZSS and Lucario. Inb4 people actually learn how to control high damage Lucario and he becomes absurdly OP. At least Olimar got some nerfs and balancing.
I bet ZSS mains almost s*** their pants when he trolled that she wouldn't return, lol.
RIP Subspace. You were a fun game.
I thought the frog at the very end was going to be a Mewtwo reveal Charizard looks fun to play. Hopefully having separate characters for Samus/ZSS, Zelda/Sheik and pokemon will help their balancing.

I only disliked the "every stage can turn into FD" and the Fact there are not more transforming characters (seriously, what was wrong with them other than people being dumb to shift (and no balancing patches)?)
