I actually vote Flaahgra on this one. I would suggest starting it at :35 in to skip the nonsense, cuz that little riff that starts at 1:18 is freaking orgasmic.

Well since I haven't actually voted yet, I'll throw mine out there. I was initially thinking about going with Flaahgra before deciding on having everyone vote for what they wanted. I just think it sounds great.

I wanted to go with the idea that speculosity threw out there and try and introduce every person in the video during the intro to the video. I have a good idea for what to do with it, but I don't want to spoil it just yet.
I'm going to go with Santi-U. I say this because I think it is more than possible to mix it in if you do some proper edits, not to mention that it seems to lead in well to any piece of music that has a very transient attack at the beginning.

At first i didnt get why people liked the flaahgra song. But after seeing Yankee's idea of the rhythm, it makes sense. with the tone of the music there it should be black and white (maybe with a slight old film effect idk). so like there would be a beat showing a moment of a person, then after the beat ends it FADES to black, then reappears (not through fade. maybe with a quick flash or just appearing) when it restarts. And the beats lasts long enough so that we are able to add everyone who is gonna be in.
We should make a title picture (through photoshop) and use it. it should be a cut-out of a zss picture from BRAWL PICTURES. i think ppl are getting tired of seeing the same old cut-out renders of zss. it would appear on the beat after the beat showing the last person in the intro, the music would cut off (it would work bc it could cutoff at the quiet parts in-between the beat.) then the picture would fade out then cut to the combos.
this video has to be great. it's gonna represent all of us at the zss boards. we're like a family here, a fraternity/sorority if you will. and we gotta make a vid that'll show them what we got. who's with me? *holds out hand*
and now that i think of it, the gfed solder music would better be suited as credit music.

ok cake i uploaded a video with a few of my combos. Im probably gonna upload some more later so don't count me out. I also included a picture of my name from my sig. it's in photoshop form so it could have a transparent background to add to the bottom corners. idk about vegas but it's $600 so im guessing it's better than my program and mine can take psd's so yours should too. i added it so incase maybe u wanted to add the person's name to their respective combos so the audience will know who's doing what.

What I actually wanted to do with the intro was instead of showing brief combo clips introducing people (I mean hell, that's the entire video,) was to intro each person with a scrolling screenshot of their posts and how they contribute to the board. Tomorrow I'll work out a rough clip of what I mean and post it online. Of course there would also be an initial intro showing something Samus/Metroid related. I'll storyboard tomorrow morning in my 10AM class, and then take whatever song gets the most votes and work out a rough design when I get back.
I have all of the Adobe and Macromedia suites so I can take pretty much anything you throw at me.
I hope you all are as hyped about this as I am.

Ok, I'm just starting to map out what I want to work with and I'm going to get to putting something rough together very soon.
@NeoZero: I probably shouldn't have worded that the way I did. What I'm really doing is just taking some of the defining threads on our board. I don't want to discourage anyone from sending videos in, and everyone will be recognized for what they contributed. And like speculosity suggested earlier, every clip will have the name of whoever contributed it somewhere on it.

If you have Photoshop or an image editing program, work on making small text overlays with the names of people.

I don't know if i can get clips either. Did you mean like text to go in like the corner of the screen when someone is being shown? If so, would you want something similar to this?

great job on the intro! though i kinda disagree with the pictures of SWF. like it's not bc u actually took pictures of SWF it's just that it's hard to make out what it is. like zoom in a little on the pics. but everything else was phenomenal. You made the tone quite well. and the way you did the title is great too. i made revisions to the font of my name (it glows now. see my new sig font?) it'll make it more visible and it looks cooler. if you could just change it that'd be great.

Yeah, I noticed when I uploaded it to YouTube. The quality goes down so everything starts getting harder to read. I'm planning on having fly-by's of each of them at a larger size.
On another note: If you watch the bottom right corner of the two clips so far you'll notice my and speculosity's names. For those of you interested in making tags for people, that's how they should be.

im trying to hack my wii so that i could get unlimited replays for future fights. i think the vid will look better if everyone (tries to) use replays (or no names) it'll makes the names on the corner look more significant

i think birth by sleep would be the perfect song (start at 0:22 so they could the feel of the song before it picks up at 0:34) because it matches the tone of the intro song really well (like i actually played birth by sleep at 0:22 right after the intro vid ended.) im not insulting anyone else's choices it's just that if we played a song like virus or gundam, it wouldn't feel right coming from a slow, quiet, slightly solemn part to BAM! an extremely high strong song hitting you in the face. it'll make ppl feel insecure and knock them outta the tone they felt and received from the intro. then it'll make the intro null and void because it didnt do its job of "setting the mood" just to have it taken away from a high beat song. so what im trying to say is, we should stick with the tone.

Also, I'm like a complete NUB and would only bring shame to the boards. That and I don't even have a real sig.
Also...MY INTERNET IS A ***** RIGHT NOW! Even if I wanted to, it would be a complete pain in the butt. I also don't have anything interesting so I won't bother posting anything. I do have photoshop (7.0... wtf?), but I have trouble w/ da layers and stuffs so don't look at me to make stuff for the video (I'll try, but I really have no idea what I'm doing).
